Abstract: An attachment mechanism for mounting an electronic device to a surface including a mounting plate configured to attach to the surface, the mounting plate having at least one projection, and a base configured to releasably couple to the mounting plate. The base may include a first biasing member, and a first arm pivotably coupled to the base and biased toward a first direction by the first biasing member, the first arm configured to interlock with the at least one projection when the base is coupled to the mounting plate. The base may further include a release mechanism coupled to the first arm such that actuation of the release mechanism when the base is coupled to the mounting plate in a secured engagement causes movement of the first arm in a second direction to disengage the first arm from the at least one projection to enable detachment of the base from the mounting plate.

An example bracket can have a contact member configured to be secured against the substrate and first and second arms coupled to the contact member. The first arm can include a sidewall portion extending from the contact member and an arcuate portion, with a first arm slot, extending from the sidewall portion. The second arm can include a planar portion extending from the contact member, in parallel with the sidewall portion, and an arcuate portion, with a second arm slot, extending from the planar portion. The arcuate portions of the first and second arms can extend toward each other, then bend toward the contact member, and can continue to bend away from each other. Abstract: A card shuffler and dealing module shuffles eight decks of cards (or less) and delivers Baccarat hands (or other games) to a dealer. Cards are randomly selected from two pre-shuffle bins and delivered to a connected or integral dealing module. The card shuffler initially selects and delivers four cards (the minimum number needed for a hand of Baccarat) to a dealing area of the dealing module. Two additional cards (the maximum number of additional cards needed for a hand of Baccarat) are then selected and delivered to the dealing module rear of the four initial cards. Accordingly, up to six cards are available to be dealt during the Baccarat hand. The smart card shuffler tracks the rank of the cards and discerns the future outcome of the Baccarat game and adjusts the cards made available to the dealer via an automatic dealing module cover and card transport mechanism.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for an apparatus for using continuous, preferably smooth, bandsaw blades to cut a substrate. The current disclosure also discloses using the same for preparing a safe and efficient method for cutting substrates into rolls.

Abstract: A refrigerator and method utilize a pair of tandem evaporators to provide cooling for both a compartment and an ice making system of a refrigerator. An upstream evaporator in the pair of tandem evaporators provides cooling for a compartment such as a freezer, fresh food, flexible cooling, or quick cooling compartment, while a downstream evaporator is in fluid communication with the upstream evaporator to receive a portion of the air cooled by the upstream evaporator and further cool the received portion for use in cooling one or more components of the ice making system.

Abstract: An embodiment includes a platform shape memory polymer system. Such an embodiment exhibits a blend of tunable, high performance mechanical attributes in combination with advanced processing capabilities and good biocompatibility. A post-polymerization crosslinking synthetic approach is employed that combines polyurethane and thiol-ene synthetic processes. Other embodiments are described herein.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are DKP microcrystals made by an improved method where they do not irreversibly self-assemble into microparticles. The microcrystals can be dispersed by atomization and re-formed by spray drying into particles having spherical shell morphology. Active agents and excipients can be incorporated into the particles by spray drying a solution containing the components to be incorporated into microcrystalline diketopiperazine particles. In particular, the microcrystalline particle compositions are suitable for pulmonary drug delivery of one or more peptides, proteins, nucleic acids and/or small organic molecules.

Abstract: Single phase cosmetic adhesive compositions that are flexible and resistant to water below a selected temperature, 43° C. for example. The adhesive compositions wear well, are smudge and flake resistant, as well as oil resistant, making them very suitable for long wear without adhesive failure. Adhesive compositions according to the invention comprise specific combinations of acrylates/VA copolymer and acrylates copolymer in a cosmetically acceptable base or delivery vehicle. Adhesive compositions according to the invention are hydrophilic and easily removed when scrubbed with water above a certain temperature, but not as easily removed with water below that temperature. The adhesive compositions are easy to manufacture, flexible and comfortable, and suitable for use on skin, lips, hair and nails, particularly to secure strips of false eyelashes and eyebrows, as well as individual lash and brow extensions.

The thimble wall has a non-uniform length, such that the outlet of the thimble is oriented at an oblique angle relative to the terminal plane. The thimble wall may have an arcuate shape defined as one-fourth of an ellipse.
