Abstract: Apparatuses and methods of beam switching are presented. A beam switch message (BSM) is transmitted to a second device via a first beam set. The BSM includes a command to switch from communication via the first beam set to communication via a second beam set at a switch time. It is determined whether a response message is received from the second device via the first beam set, the response message indicating that the second device received the BSM. A communication is sent to the second device via the second beam set after the switch time when the response message is unreceived.

  • Publication number: 20180289480
Abstract: Described herein are devices and methods for mitral valve repair. The devices and methods implant a plurality of distal anchors at an annulus of the mitral valve (e.g., the posterior annulus) and tension artificial chordae to pull the portion of the annulus toward an opposite edge and inward into the ventricle. This can effectively reduce the size of the orifice and increase coaptation. The anchor points of the artificial chordae can be offset from the apex of the heart to achieve a targeted force vector on the annulus. In addition, some embodiments include distal anchors implanted in the posterior leaflet in addition to those at the posterior annulus. This allows differential tensioning to be applied to provide for greater flexibility in treating various configurations of mitral valves to improve coaptation.

Aspects presented herein improve the efficient utilization of resources by enabling data transmission in resources of the DL control resource region and/or the UL control resource region. A UE receives an indication of a control resource set in a control resource region of a slot that may provide a control channel resource or a data channel resource and performs rate matching for data transmissions in the data channel based at least in part on the indication. The indication may be a semi-static indication, e.g., RRC signaling, of the control resource set.

  • Patent number: 10098201
Abstract: A system for controlling lighting devices at one or more light-enabled facilities includes a portable electronic device with an app that communicates with a gateway controller at each facility, and/or a remote server. The portable electronic device pairs with a gateway controller upon arrival at the facility. The portable electronic device may receive available scenes from the gateway controller upon arrival, or from the remote server before arrival, and it may select scenes for the gateway controller to implement. Each scene will adjust various hardware settings of the lighting devices to alter the optical characteristics of emitted light at various times. The system also may use geolocation data to identify and schedule lighting services at various light-enabled facilities in a geographic area.

  • Patent number: 10096139
Abstract: Certain embodiments involve generating graphical depictions of data sets based on mapping paths of graphical objects to data properties. In one example, a graphics editing application displays a graphical interface for mapping a vector-based graphic to a data set. The vector-based graphic includes graphical objects defined by connected paths. The graphical interface receives input specifying modifications to visual properties of different graphical objects. For graphical objects mapped to data properties in the data set, the graphics editing application applies constraints to visual property modifications, where the constraints are based on mappings to the data properties in the data set. For graphical objects without mappings to data properties, the graphics editing application applies visual property modifications without these constraints.

  • Patent number: 10092820
Abstract: An automatic card shuffler to shuffle eight decks of cards (or less) and deal a round of Baccarat. The automatic shuffler comprises two pre-shuffle bins, each receiving approximately four decks of cards wherein the pre-shuffle bins are spaced apart from one another with card slides directing to a card-receiving area. Cards are randomly selected from the cards in each of the pre-shuffle bins and propelled onto the card slides directing the cards to the card-receiving area. Once a sufficient number of buffer cards (e.g., seven) have been deposited into the card-receiving area, a card flipper moves the seven cards against a face plate of an integral dealing shoe. A buffer-holder member maintains the buffer cards against the face plate for dealing as the card flipper returns to a home position to receive more shuffled cards while buffer cards are being dealt in a round of Baccarat.

  • Patent number: 10091976
Abstract: The present invention relates in general to fishing lures, and more specifically, to an expanding or contracting fishing lure that provides a natural movement that mimics live bait. The fishing lure is configured so that when the fishing lure is retrieved (e.g., reeled in) or jigged by an angler, or the fishing line is pulled or twitched, the fishing lure transitions from a first position to a second position and then returns to the first position. The purpose of the invention is to provide a fishing lure that will successfully attract fish by displaying a unique action in the water.
