  • Publication number: 20250127525
Abstract: A bone cutting device, such as a burr or saw blade, is irrigated to cool not only the bone cutting device itself, but also the bone of the subject on which a bone resection procedure is being performed. The bone cutting device can have one or more (e.g., a plurality of) internal flow channels that eject a cooling medium (e.g., water or an inert gas) from the bone cutting device. This emission of the cooling medium can not only flush bone chips from the resection site, thereby reducing frictional heating of the bone cutting device, but can also provide internal cooling to the bone cutting device while flowing through the one or more internal flow channels and also can cool the surface of the bone via conductive heat transfer (e.g., by the flow stream of the cooling medium impinging on the bone surface).

  • Publication number: 20250128234
Abstract: An apparatus and process for distillation column fabrication can include forming multiple distillation column packing units that are positionable in a column to define a single packing section so that multiple columns of packing can be positioned in parallel with each other within a single distillation pressure vessel. Each of these multiple columns can have a pre-selected cross-sectional shape, such as a hexagonal shape, and each packing unit can have the same cross-sectional shape (e.g. hexagonal). Each column can include a riser, or distributor, attached to its upper or top portion. A plurality of outer jigsaw seal elements can be arranged between the outer portion of the columns and the inner wall of the pressure vessel. Each packing unit can include a plurality of layered corrugated sheets that are provided in a pre-selected arrangement to facilitate gas and liquid separation via the packing.

  • Patent number: 12282868
Abstract: In a computer-implemented method of assessing driving performance using route scoring, driving data indicative of operation of a vehicle while the vehicle was driven on a driving route may be received. Road infrastructure data indicative of one or more features of the driving route may also be received. A route score for the driving route may be calculated using the road infrastructure data, and a driving performance score for a driver of the vehicle may be calculated using the driving data and the route score for the driving route. Data may be sent to a client device via a network to cause the client device to display the driving performance score and/or a ranking based on the driving performance score, and/or the driving performance score may be used to determine a risk rating for the driver of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12282658
Abstract: A system and corresponding method perform large memory transaction (LMT) stores. The system comprises a processor associated with a data-processing width and a processor accelerator. The processor accelerator performs a LMT store of a data set to a coprocessor in response to an instruction from the processor targeting the coprocessor. The data set corresponds to the instruction. The LMT store includes storing data from the data set, atomically, to the coprocessor based on a LMT line (LMTLINE). The LMTLINE is wider than the data-processing width. The processor accelerator sends, to the processor, a response to the instruction. The response is based on completion of the LMT store of the data set in its entirety. The processor accelerator enables the processor to perform useful work in parallel with the LMT store, thereby improving processing performance of the processor.
