Abstract: Disclosed herein is a structure for a frame filter, which is adaptable for a wide variety of different housing. The frame filter in accordance with the instant invention includes a universal frame and a housing and fabric filter bag secured between the two members. The frame is rigid and in combination with the housing forms a clamping member to secure the filter bag between for rugged use including movement and shocking-type motion. The frame, in accordance with this invention, defines a picture frame having a central opening defined by an annulus. The frame includes clamping structure for attaching the fabric filter bag to the frame and the housing of an appliance. A wide variety of shapes are within the spirit and scope of the structure of the invention.

Abstract: A high speed electric motor for use in a variety of applications. The electric motor an electric motor including a motor housing or stator, a rotor having a commutator and brushes for contacting the commutator at a predefined area known as the contact area. Additionally, the motor includes a forced air cooling assembly. The forced air cooling assembly includes a centrifugal fan for creating air flow, a manifold for accelerating the air flow. The manifold having exit ports and the exit ports being positioned directly over the contact area for directing the accelerated air flow at the contact area and the motor housing having at least one opening aligned with the contact area and at least a second opening defining an exit vent. Additionally, a method of cooling the motor in accordance with the invention is also disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a swimming pool cleaning vehicle including a housing having an outer shell and defining a hollow interior. The housing having at least one intake port and at least one outlet port. The intake port(s) being located adjacent the drive mechanism. The pool cleaning vehicle includes a drive mechanism which in different embodiments has pairs of wheels and/or rollers and various combinations thereof for moving the vehicle. The vehicle includes a bottom and the bottom is concaved inwardly toward the interior.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an electrically conductive buoyant cable. The cable includes an electrical conductor member having at least one electrical conductor. The cable also includes a filler layer that consists of buoyant materials with relative density lower than 1. The filler layer surrounds and encloses the electrical conductor member. The invention includes a jacket, which, in one embodiment, contains a small quantity of filler material or no filler material. The jacket surrounds the filler layer. In one embodiment, the filler layer and the jacket are made of the same material.

Abstract: This invention discloses a roller brush used in swimming pool cleaner, including the roller body and the roller brush wrapped around the roller body. The inner side of roller brush in contact with the roller body outer surface. The roller body has a number of detent posts or grooves. The roller brush inner surface has a number of corresponding grooves or posts. Certain number of detent posts engages with grooves enable the roller brush and roller body positive interlock. For this reason, this roller brush invention allows positive and synchronize drive between roller body and roller brush, avoiding slipping drive. Moreover, this invention has simple construction, easy manufacture and assembly. This invention does not need to apply too much tension on the roller brush, reducing the flexible roller brush aging rate. It is therefore product life extended and maintenance cost lowered.
