Abstract: Benzyl esters of the formula ##STR1## in which n is 1,2,3,4, or 5,R.sup.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1-4 -alkyl, cyano or ethynyl,R.sup.3 is the radical of a carboxylic acid customary in pyrethroids or pyrethroid-like compounds, andat least one R.sup.1 is fluoroalkoxy or fluoroalkylmercapto, or two together are fluoromethylene- or fluoroethylene-dioxy, and the others, if present, are hydrogen or various radicals,which possess arthropodicidal properties. Various alcohols, amines, aldehydes, halides, and the like, corresponding to the alcohol moieties of the esters are also synthesized.

Abstract: 2,2-Dimethyl-3-(2-fluoroalkyl-2-oxy-vinyl)-cyclopropane-carboxylic acid esters of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is fluoroalkyl,R.sup.2 is an optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl radical, andR.sup.3 is a radical customary in the alcohol component of pyrethroidswhich possess arthropodicidal properties. New intermediates therefor are also shown.

Abstract: An arthropodicidal composition containing, as active ingredients, an arthropodicidally effective amount of (1) at least one ferrocene derivative of the formula ##STR1## in which R and R.sup.1 each independently is hydrogen, an alkyl or alkenyl radical optionally substituted by alkoxycarbonyl, aralkyl, cyanoalkyl, nitrile, or ##STR2## R.sup.2 is hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, optionally substituted phenyl or alkoxy,R.sup.3 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkanoyl or a polyalkylene polyether group,R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each independently is alkyl or together are an alkylene radical,X is oxygen, hydroxyimino or alkoxyimino and,Y is oxygen or sulphur,and (2) at least one compound selected from (A) carbamates, (B) carboxylic acid esters, including the natural and synthetic pyrethroids, (C) phosphoric acid esters, (D) cycloalkanes, (E) halogenoalkanes and (F) tin compounds.

Abstract: Fluorine-containing phenylacetic acid esters of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents the radical of an alcohol customary in the case of pyrethroids,R.sup.1 represents C.sub.2-4 -alkyl, C.sub.2-4 -alkenyl or cyclopropyl,X represents H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, OCHF.sub.2, SCHF.sub.2, SCClF.sub.2 or SCF.sub.3 andX.sup.1 can vary widely or form a fused ring with X,the overall compound necessarily containing a fluorine atom, which compounds possess arthropodicidal properties. Intermediates therefor and an overall synthesis from an alcohol of the formula ROH and a toluene of the formula ##STR2## are also shown.

Abstract: N-methyl-N-(benzene sulfonic acid methylamide-N'-sulfenyl)-carbamic acid esters of the formula ##STR1## in which X is halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl or hydrogen, andR is a phenyl, naphthyl, benzodioxolanyl or indanyl radical optionally carrying at least one alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy, alkenoxy, alkynoxy, alkylmercapto, alkenylmercapto, alkynylmercapto, dialkylamino, trihalogenemethyl, halogeno, nitro, nitrile, cycloalkyl, formamidino, dioxanyl or dioxolanyl radical; or an oxime radical of the formula ##STR2## in which R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each individually is alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or alkoxycarbonyl, the alkyl moieties of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 optionally being linked to one another,which possess insecticidal and acaricidal properties.

Abstract: 3-(2,3-Dichloro-3,3-difluoro-prop-1-en-1-yl)-2,2-dimethyl-cyclo-propanecarb oxylic acid fluoro-benzyl esters of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, cyano, alkyl with up to 4 carbon atoms, alkenyl with up to 4 carbon atoms or alkynyl with up to 4 carbon atoms, andR.sup.2 represents a phenyl radical which is substituted by fluorine and/or optionally fluorine-substituted phenoxy, with the proviso that the radical R.sup.2 in total contains at least one fluorine substituent,which possess pesticidal activity.

Abstract: 2,2-Dimethyl-3-vinyl-cyclopropane carboxylic acid esters of halogenated benzyl alcohols of the formula ##STR1## in which each R independently represents F, Cl, Br or CH.sub.3 andm and n each represent 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 subject to the sum of m+n being not more than 5,with the provisos that(i) when each R represents F or Br then m and n cannot both be 0,(ii) when each R represents Cl, then m represents 0, 1, 2, 3 or 5 and n represents 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, and(iii) when each R represents CH.sub.3, then m represents 0 and n represents 5,which possess arthropodicidal properties.

Abstract: A phosphorylated carbamoyl compound of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents a lower alkyl radical andR.sup.2 represents an optionally substituted alkoxy, cycloalkoxy, aralkoxy, aryloxy, alkylmercapto, cycloalkylmercapto, aralkylmercapto or arylmercapto radical, NH.sub.2, an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic, aromatic or heterocyclic amine radical or an oximino radical,which possesses arthropodicidal and nematicidal properties.

Abstract: A 3-phenoxy-fluorobenzyl alcohol of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.2 is hydrogen, cyano or ethynyl.The compounds can be esterified with pyrethroid-type carboxylic acids to give highly active insecticides.

Abstract: O-Alkyl-O-(2-cyclopropyl-pyrimidin-4-yl)-thiono(thiol)-phosphoric(phosphoni c) acid esters and ester-amides of the formula ##STR1## in which R is alkyl,R.sup.1 is alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylamino or phenyl,R.sup.2 is hydrogen, alkyl or halogen, andX is oxygen or sulphur,which possess arthropodicidal and nematicidal properties.

Abstract: Synergistic arthropodicidal compositions containing (1) a phosphorus-containing compound of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each independently is an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl or aryl radical, at least one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 being an optionally substituted alkenyl radical unsaturated in the 2-position,X is oxygen or sulphur, andY and Z each independently is oxygen, sulphur or a direct bond; and if both Y and Z are oxygen or sulphur or a direct bond, then any of R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 can denote propargyl in addition to the radicals indicated above,and (2) at least one (A) carbamate, (B) carboxylic acid ester, (C) phosphoric acid ester other than (1), (D) halogenocycloalkane or (E) halogenoalkane.

Abstract: Synergistic arthropodicidal compositions comprising a carbamate, carboxylic acid ester or phosphate ester and an .alpha.-substituted-3,4-methylenedioxyphenylacetonitrile of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, halogen or nitro,R.sup.1 represents alkyl or hydrogen, andR.sup.2 represents aralkyl, alkyl, alkenyl or cycloalkyl or may represent hydrogen, provided that R represents alkyl, alkenyl or nitro, orR.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together represent an alkylene radical.

Abstract: O-Alkyl-O-(2-cyclopropyl-6-methyl-pyrimidin-4-yl)-thionophosphonic acid esters of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is alkyl, andR.sup.1 is alkyl or phenyl,which possess arthropodicidal properties.

Abstract: 2,2-Dimethyl-3-(2'-perfluoroalkyl-2'-perhaloalkyl-vinyl)-cyclopropane of the formula ##STR1## in which R is --COOR.sup.2, --COOH, --CO--Halogen, --CN or --CO--CH.sub.3,R.sup.1 is fluorine or CF.sub.3,R.sup.3 is fluorine, chlorine, bromine or R.sup.1 CF.sub.2 --, andR.sup.2 is the radical of an alcoholwhich possess arthropodicidal properties. These compounds can be produced by adding a compound of the formula ##STR2## to an olefin of the formula ##STR3## to produce a compound of the formula ##STR4## and dehydrohalogenating said compound. This compound may be hydrolyzed, saponified or esterified, depending upon the particular derivative desired.

Abstract: 4,5-Dichloro-3-organo-1,2-methylenedioxybenzenes of the formula ##STR1## in which R is alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl, aryl, O-alkyl, O-alkenyl, O-arylalkyl or O-arylwhich synergize with known arthropodicides.

Abstract: 6,7-Methylenedioxy-isochromanes of the formula ##STR1## in which R, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently is hydrogen or alkyl, which synergize with known arthropodicides.

Abstract: 3-Phenoxybenzyl alcohols and carboxylic acid esters thereof for combating pests of the formula ##STR1## in which R and R.sup.1 are different and each represent hydrogen, fluorine or bromine,R.sup.2 represents cyano or ethynyl andR.sup.3 represents the ##STR2## or the ##STR3## wherein the phenyl ring can optionally carry one or more substituents selected independently from halogen, alkyl, alkylthio and alkoxy with in each case 1 to 4 carbon atoms, nitro and methylenedioxy, andR.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are identical and each represent chlorine, bromine or methyl, andR.sup.2 represents hydrogen in case thatR.sup.3 represents the ##STR4## wherein R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are identical and each represent chlorine or bromine andR.sup.3 represents the ##STR5## wherein the phenyl ring can carry the above mentioned substituents which possess insecticidal and acaricidal properties. The benzyl alcohols from which the esters are made are also new.

Abstract: O-Alkyl-5-halo-pyrimidin-2-yl-thionothiol-phosphoric (phosphonic) acid esters of the formula ##STR1## in which R is alkyl,R.sup.1 is alkyl, aryl or alkoxy, andR.sup.2 is halogen,which possess arthropodical properties.
