  • Patent number: 7593573
Abstract: A method and device for visualizing the surroundings of a vehicle, in particular for detecting and representing the traffic situation in front of a driver are provided. A night vision information system fuses video images from essentially the same location and time but from different spectral regions are fused using weighting factors. The video images are weighted with a globally settable preliminary weighting factor, and an object analysis of the video images is performed. Based on the object analysis the weighting factors are locally adapted in an object-selective manner.

  • Publication number: 20080024608
Abstract: A method for visualizing surroundings of a vehicle, especially in the dark is provided. A visual image, containing the digital data of the surroundings shows the visually perceptible objects. An infrared image, containing the digital data of the surroundings, shows the infrared radiation, emitted by the visually perceptible and/or other objects. An image fusion takes place that fuses the visual image and the infrared image into a target image, which can be represented in an image display unit, in order to simplify the allocation of the infrared radiation-emitting objects in the recorded environment. The image fusion is interrupted as a function of one environment parameter in order to represent only one of the two images, or none of the images, as the target image.

  • Patent number: 7289974
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system and method for data reconciliation. In one embodiment, information identifying data sources to be reconciled may be received. Data may be retrieved from a first data source based on a dynamic link identifying data in the first data source and data from a second data source may be retrieved based on a dynamic link identifying data in the second data source. A first portion of a reconciliation rule may be processed using the retrieved data from the first data source to generate a first result. A second portion of the reconciliation rule may be processed using the retrieved data from the second data source to generate a second result. The first result may be compared with the second result. If the first result matches the second result, it may be confirmed that data in the first data source is reconciled with the data in the second data source.

  • Patent number: 7199366
Abstract: A method is provided for visualizing the environment of a vehicle, particularly in darkness. For improving known methods, a weighted superimposition of isochronous and same-location image pairs of a visual image and an infrared image are performed for forming a fusion image. For a further improvement, it is provided to make the weighting dependent on the environment; thus, in darkness, a higher weighting and therefore a stressing of the infrared information is provided with respect to the visual information in the fusion image. In fog, it is provided to weight the visual information clearly higher in comparison to the infrared information, whereby the infrared information, which is often not very helpful in fog, is largely not taken into account in the fusion image.

  • Publication number: 20070005501
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for monitoring and controlling a number of available decentralized IP budgets of a subscriber in a packet-based communications network during an online assessment of charges for data transmissions. According to the invention, the number of available IP budgets are each allocated in a data flow-specific manner to a data flow in a context that can be assigned to the subscriber, and a higher-order control function is provided in a network node of the communications network. Said higher-order control function charges the data flow-specific IP budget according to a resource use of a data flow based on charge assessment specifications issued by a charge assessing computer during a resource use of the data flow in a context that can be assigned to the subscriber, and effects a partial or complete transmission of the IP budget between selected data flows in a case-related manner.
