  • Publication number: 20080250178
Abstract: A load balancing method and system for identifying an input/output (I/O) network path from a set off I/O network paths is provided by the invention. The set off I/O network paths connect a host system via a network to a storage subsystem. The host system comprises at least one host bus adapter (HBA) and the storage subsystem comprises at least one I/O device and the network comprises at least one network device. Each of the HBA, the I/O device and the network device comprise at least one I/O port. For each I/O port of each HBA, an HBA port limit is determined. Additionally the set of I/O network paths which connect the I/O port of each of the HBA via the I/O ports of the network device to the I/O port of the I/O device is identified. Then a fabric utilization limit is determined for each I/O network path and a HBA port utilization is determined for each I/O port of the at least one HBA. All network paths are discarded for which the HBA port utilization is greater than the HBA port limit.

  • Patent number: 7342061
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing novel reactive organic compounds containing poly-DOPO and having a higher phosphorus content than known comparable DOPO (9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phospha-phenenthrene-10-oxide) adducts, and to the use thereof for flameproofing thermoplastic polymers, such as polyesters and polyamides. The same flameproofing effect is achieved with smaller additive quantities than previously, thus reducing the influence of the physical, especially textile-physical properties of the polymers. The adducts containing poly-DOPO are formed by reacting DOPO with acetylenes carrying reactive groups, in the presence of a catalyst.

  • Patent number: 7301192
Abstract: Stack and trench memory cells are provided in a DRAM memory cell array. The stack and trench memory cells are arranged so as to form identical cell pairs each having a trench capacitor, a stack capacitor and a semiconductor fin, in which the active areas of two select transistors for addressing the trench and stack capacitors are formed. The semiconductor fins are arranged in succession in the longitudinal direction to form cell rows and in this arrangement are spaced apart from one another by in each case a trench capacitor. Respectively adjacent cell rows are separated from one another by trench isolator structures and are offset with respect to one another by half the length of a cell pair. The semiconductor fins are crossed by at least two active word lines, which are orthogonal with respect to the cell rows, for addressing the select transistors realized in the semiconductor fin.
