  • Patent number: 5385040
Abstract: A transfer device in a press line has traverses which are situated transversely with respect to the workpiece passage and can be adjusted in the horizontal and vertical direction, and which support sheet metal parts placed on them. The traverses are fastened on toothed belts are movable in guide strips on deflecting rollers by servomotors.

  • Patent number: 5383348
Abstract: In a press, an individual press, a multistage press, a multistand press and similar forming facilities, transfer devices are provided for the transport of sheet metal parts in the machining stages. These transfer devices have guide strips which can be lifted and lowered in vertical guides on the press stands via adjusting devices. In each guide strip, toothed belts are arranged which are guided on deflecting rollers. The moving drive in the horizontal direction takes place from a motor-transmission device. As a result, a reduction of the mass of the movable structural members of the transfer device is achieved while the construction of the transfer device is modular.

  • Patent number: 5375513
Abstract: A press installation that has working stages with a press frame having press supports, a press bed, a headpiece, and turnbuckles which rigidly connect the press supports, the press bed, and the headpiece with one another. The press installation has a slide for forming that extends along a plurality of the working stages, a transfer device that transfers workpieces between the working stages, and driving devices that drive the slide and the transfer device. Connecting rods link the slide without pressure points and therefore directly in four linking points. The centers of the two linking points respectively of one side of the slide and of two turnbuckles situated opposite one another in the press frame are arranged on a common line which is aligned horizontally and vertically with respect to a press passage. The slide is an outer slide, while inner slides are provided in the working stages, these inner slides being vertically slidably disposed via guides.

  • Patent number: 4981031
Abstract: A transfer device permits different moving sequences of holding devices for sheet metal parts which are to be moved through a metal-forming machine. The holding devices are fastened to carriages. The carriages are cam-guided, in which case carriage carries out a transfer movement from a working stage to an idle stage while taking along a sheet metal part. The return movement is interrupted in an intermediate position during the deforming operation of the sheet metal parts. The carriage carries out a transfer movement from the idle stage to a working stage and a return movement which is temporarily interrupted in an intermediate stage. As a result of the low-mass construction of carriages, high accelerations are possible in the movements. The transfer movements are shortened significantly by the use of intermediate depositing devices in the idle stages.

  • Patent number: 4840055
Abstract: A drawing apparatus in a press for holding the sheet metal part during the drawing and for the ejection thereof. Additionally, blocking devices are provided which prevent the ejection of the sheet metal draw part at the same time with the upward movement of the press ram. Each blocking device is thereby to be rendered selectively operable or inoperable. A continuous flow of the hydraulic liquid is to be precluded during the inoperative condition of the blocking device. The blocking device consists of a pressure cylinder, of a pressure piston which is displaceably movable on the piston rod displaceable by the draw cushion, and of a compression spring for the displacement of the pressure piston in the ejection direction. The pressure space formed above the pressure piston is selectively pressureless for the inoperative condition, respectively, adapted to be acted upon with controlled pressure for the operative condition of the blocking device.

  • Patent number: 4712412
Abstract: A drawing apparatus, by means of which the different individual functions such as control of the sheet metal holder pressure, control of the sheet metal holder upward movement, control of the ejector movement and of the end position abutment are adjustable, respectively, controllable independently of one another.

  • Patent number: 4601190
Abstract: With workpieces to be drawn, especially large-area body parts or sinks, the possibilities of tearing the walls, respectively, undulated surface structure exists within the area of the corner formation. The present invention is therefore predicated on the concept to match the support pressure to the shaping of the workpiece in the different abutment areas thereof. A number of pressure cylinders fixedly installed in the press table serve for that purpose, whose piston rods are adapted to be to displaced in the vertical direction by way of a pressure plate acting in unison on all piston rods. The piston rods acting on the other end of the support are lowerable under the ram movement against the controllable pressure differing in the pressure chambers by way of valves.
