Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for the manufacture and use of hydrogels with increased permeability to macromolecules with minimum loss of matrix mechanical strength and prepolymer viscosity for patternability. The hydrogels of the invention are formed from a prepolymer, which is polymerized in the presence of hydrophobic nanoparticles. In some embodiments of the invention cells are present during polymerization, and are encapsulated by the hydrogel. A high interfacial energy between the hydrophobic substrate and the aqueous polymerizing solution disrupts the hydrogel network structure, leading to network defects that increase permeability without loss of patternability.

Abstract: Provided is a method of designing a coaxial dual-tube type hot gas duct for a very-high-temperature reactor. When determining the outer diameter of an inner tube and the inner diameter of a pressure tube, both of which defines an annular part of the hot gas duct having a dual-tube shape, one selected from hydraulic heads, flow rates, and hydraulic heads of very-high-temperature helium gas flowing to a very-high-temperature region and low-temperature helium gas flowing to a low-temperature region is taken into consideration as well as is a relation of about heat balance model, so that it is possible to minimize flow induced vibrations caused by the flow of a fluid.

Abstract: Provided is an availability prediction method for a high availability. The method includes calculating a basic survival probability that the other node survives until a failure on one node of two nodes constituting a cluster is fixed, and determining an optimal number of nodes meeting a preset reference availability probability by calculating an availability probability for a predetermined range of the number of nodes on the basis of the basic survival probability. The method determines the number of nodes in the high availability cluster so as to match a reference availability probability, and is able to accomplish an optimal configuration of a cluster by calculating the availability probabilities for combinations between active node and passive nodes and between head nodes and switches.

Abstract: An upper plenum structure of a cooled pressure vessel for a prismatic very high temperature reactor which secures a space for coolant to supply to a core and also supports an upper reflector located inside a graphite structure on top of the core. The upper plenum structure includes a cavity structure where the coolant goes down in the upper plenum structure, a plurality of upper reflector supports formed with the cavity and supporting the upper reflector located on top thereof, and a plurality of coolant distributing blocks. Each of the coolant distributing blocks is coupled with a bottom portion of a respective one of the upper reflector supports and is located on top of the core in order to distribute the coolant collected in a cavity, formed by the upper reflector support, to the core. The coolant distributing blocks cooperate with the upper reflector supports to define the cavity structure.

The method provides a streaming service in a peer-to-peer (P2P) network comprising a plurality of peers. Then, the receiving peer receives identical portions of the same content from the plurality of transmitting peers at the same time.
