Abstract: Provided is a method of controlling a digital image processing apparatus that stores user files obtained as a result of a photographing operation in a photographing mode in a storage medium and reproduces the user files stored in the storage medium in a reproducing mode. In the method, the reproducing mode includes an index-reproducing mode in which a set number of index images are displayed in divided display regions in a sequence in which the index images are set. In addition, the index-reproducing mode includes an edited index-reproducing mode in which the index images are selectively displayed. The edited index-reproducing mode includes deleting loading data of an index image according to a user's choice and displaying the index images, excluding the index image whose loading data was deleted, in the divided display regions in the sequence in which the index images are set.
