  • Publication number: 20030154558
Abstract: A method of controlling a washing machine is provided. The washing machine control method executes a washing process with a wobbling device. In the method, an operation of causing a washboard to wobble and an operation of rotating a spin-drying tub in the washing process are alternately performed. An operation of causing a washboard to wobble in a wobbling position and an operation of rotating a spin-drying tub in a washing process several times to mix laundry is performed, such that upper laundry and lower laundry can be uniformly washed, thus improving a laundry cleaning performance. Further, entangled laundry can be prevented from being rinsed by causing the washboard to wobble in the wobbling position before rinsing water is supplied.

  • Publication number: 20030134457
Abstract: A fuse area of a semiconductor device capable of preventing moisture-absorption and a method for manufacturing the fuse area are provided. When forming a guard ring for preventing permeation of moisture through the sidewall of an exposed fuse opening portion, an etch stop layer is formed over a fuse line. A guard ring opening portion is formed using the etch stop layer. The guard ring opening portion is filled with a material for forming the uppermost wiring of multi-level interconnect wirings or the material of a passivation layer, thereby forming the guard ring concurrently with the uppermost interconnect wiring or the passivation layer. Accordingly, permeation of moisture through an interlayer insulating layer or the interface between interlayer insulating layers around the fuse opening portion can be efficiently prevented by a simple process.

  • Patent number: 6580134
Abstract: Field effect transistors (FETs) include an integrated circuit substrate having a surface, and a gate on the surface. A pair of recessed regions in the substrate are located beneath the surface. Respective ones of the recessed regions are located on respective opposite sides of the gate. Each of the recessed regions define a sidewall and a floor. An elevated source/drain structure on each of the recessed regions is at least as thick adjacent to the gate as remote from the gate. A gate spacer may be included between the gate and the elevated source/drain region. The gate spacer can comprise an insulating film. Preferably, the source/drain structure extends to the sidewall of the recessed region. The elevated source/drain structure is preferably free of a facet adjacent the gate. The present invention also relates to methods for fabricating a field effect transistors (FET) having an elevated source/drain structure.

  • Publication number: 20030090978
Abstract: The present invention relates to apparatus and method of determining an optimal writing power for an aged writable disk after checking whether a writable disk is aged or not. The present invention reads signals written on a writable disk, judges whether or not the writable disk is aged based on a signal characteristic, e.g., a level difference between the read signals before and after an equalization and jitter of the read signals, and conducts an OPC at least twice for the writable disk to obtain a precise optimal writing power if judged to be aged. The precise optimal writing power can prevent deterioration of reproduction characteristic of recorded data even though an aged writable disk is used.
