  • Patent number: 7153413
Abstract: The sulfur content of liquid cracking products, especially the cracked gasoline, is reduced in a catalytic cracking process employing a cracking catalyst containing a high content of vanadium. The cracking process involves introducing at least one vanadium compound into a hydrocarbon-sulfur containing feedstock to be charged to a fluid catalytic cracking reactor operating under steady state conditions and containing an equilibrium fluid cracking catalyst inventory within the reactor. The amount of sulfur in the liquid products, in particular gasoline and LCO fractions, is reduced as a result of the increased vanadium content on the equilibrium catalyst. Advantageously, sulfur reduction is achieved even in the presence of other metal contaminants, such as nickel and iron, on the equilibrium catalyst.

  • Patent number: 7133185
Abstract: A self-assembly structure of micro electromechanical optical switch utilizes residual stresses of three curved beams. The first curved beam pushes the base plate away from the substrate. The second curved beam lifts up the mirror slightly. • Publication number: 20060200815
Abstract: An electronic device includes a memory and a program. The program includes a plurality of sub-modules, wherein each sub-module includes a plurality of stub functions and a plurality of functions, each stub-function corresponding to an address of a function respectively. The method for updating the program includes setting a plurality of stub-function in a first sub-module, and calling a first stub function in advance for getting an address of a first function when calling the first function. • Publication number: 20060138436
Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) package and process of making the same includes a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) substrate that is composed of two silicon based materials and an insulation layer interposed therebetween. The two silicon based materials of silicon-on-insulator substrate are etched to form a reflective cavity and an insulation trench, respectively, for dividing the silicon-on-insulator substrate into contact surfaces of positive and negative electrodes. A plurality of metal lines are then formed to electrically connect the two silicon based materials such that the LED chip can be mounted on the reflective cavity and electrically connected to the corresponding electrodes of the silicon-on-insulator substrate by the metal lines. Thus the properties of heat resistance and heat dispersal can be improved and the process can be simplified.

  • Publication number: 20050130834
Abstract: The sulfur content of liquid cracking products, especially the cracked gasoline, of the catalytic cracking process is reduced by the use of a sulfur reduction catalyst composition comprising a porous molecular sieve which contains a metal in an oxidation state above zero within the interior of the pore structure of the sieve as well as a rare earth component which enhances the cracking activity of the cracking catalyst. The molecular sieve is normally a faujasite such as USY. The primary sulfur reduction component is normally a metal of Period 3 of the Periodic Table, preferably vanadium. The rare earth component preferably includes cerium which enhances the sulfur reduction activity of the catalyst. The sulfur reduction catalyst may be used in the form of a separate particle additive or as a component of an integrated cracking/sulfur reduction catalyst.

  • Patent number: 6776135
Abstract: The present invention provides a rotary engine having: a stationary cylinder with an intake aperture, an exhaust aperture, and an ignition aperture on the surface; a driving disk disposed inside the stationary cylinder connected to an external driving source through a shaft, the driving disk being secured to a surface of at least one rotational cylinder that are together driven by the driving source; and a swing piston installed inside the rotational cylinder driven by a driving member to move within the rotational cylinder to alter the intake and exhaust volume of the rotational cylinder. The intake and exhaust volume changes corresponding to the position of the rotational cylinder which follows the intake, ignition, and exhaust sequential process to complete the intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust cycle of an engine to create a simple yet high output, low-friction engine with superior cooling.

  • Publication number: 20040135761
Abstract: This invention uses the “row/column buffer switches” to make it possible that LCD display can scan either vertically or horizontally. This invention solved the limitation of the traditional LCD can only scan in one direction (horizontal) issue. That makes LCD will be able to accept either the landscape or the portrait images without a pre-rotate process. With the easy implementation, buffer switches can be applied to both of the two standards, STN (known as passive matrix addressing) and TFT (known as active matrix addressing) LCD devices.

  • Publication number: 20030234729
Abstract: A power extension cable with a loading indication and warning system. The power extension cable uses the loading indication and warning system to detect size of loading current passing through the extension cable. When the loading current passing though the extension cable exceeds a preset warning level, a warning message is issued so that a user may redistribute the loads before overloading the power extension cable to the breaking point.
