    Abstract: A chain saw includes a housing, a sprocket wheel which is provided in the housing for driving a saw chain, and a chain guide for guiding the movement of the saw chain. The chain guide extends out longitudinally from the housing and is movable longitudinally relative to the housing. The chain saw includes a chain tensioning device. The chain tensioning device comprises a driven member arranged on the chain guide and a driving member which drives the driven member to move the chain guide longitudinally and a rotating device rotating the driving member. A stepless clutch device is arranged between the rotating device and the driving member. The chain tensioning device presses the chain guide while it tensioning the saw chain. Thus it prevents effectively the chain guide from loosing after the saw chain is tensioned. The operation of the chain tensioning device is labour-saving. The chain tensioning device has a stable structure and it is hard to be worn.

    Abstract: A light guide plate (2) includes a light output surface (20) and a bottom surface (22) opposite to the light output surface. The bottom surface defines a plurality of V-shaped grooves (221) thereat, and each of the V-shaped grooves is bounded by a pair of walls along a length thereof. The walls cooperatively form an apex angle, and each of the V-shaped grooves has an apex angle in a range of 67° to 85°. With such configuration, light beams input to the light guide plate can be directed and transmitted within the light guide plate toward particular desired directions. Such directions are typically directions toward a viewer of an associated liquid crystal display panel. Accordingly, a backlight module that employs the light guide plate may advantageously obtain more efficient utilization of illumination and greater brightness in particular desired directions.

The method includes opening files according to the number of languages in the text file, storing vocabulary entries expressed in the same language in the same file, giving a same index for every vocabulary entry having the same meaning expressed in different languages, according to the index retrieving the vocabulary of the same meaning expressed in a different language in one of files, and displaying the vocabulary entry on the screen.

    Abstract: An imaging device for sequentially imaging a portion of a continuously moving web to provide a digital data stream which is then analyzed by a single computer without the used of dedicated signal processing hardware. Techniques for operating on the data stream from an imaging device are disclosed, particularly including operations based on blob information stored in terms of starting position and segment run lengths in a crossweb direction. These allow definitions of blobs to be accumulated in a line-by-line fashion, and allow classes of defects commonly found in continuous web manufacturing to be identified with far less computing power than was previously required. In particular, in the challenging application of inspecting flexible circuits, data rates in excess of 10 mega-pixels/second are achieved and successfully processed.

    Abstract: Two osmotic stress- and ABA-responsive members of the endochitinase (EC 3.2.1.14) gene family has been isolated and identified from leaves of drought-stressed Lycopersicon chilense plants. The 966-base-pair insert of pcht28 encodes an acidic chitinase precursor with an amino-terminal signal peptide. The mature protein is predicted to have 229 amino acid residues with a relative molecular weight of 24,943 and pI value of 6.2. The same number in amino acids, molecular and PI value are predicted for the protein encoded by pchtI, despite of a slight variation in the DNA and amino acid sequences. Sequence analysis revealed that pcht28 and pchtI have a high degree of homology with class II chitinases (EC 3.2.1.14) from tobacco. Northern blot analysis indicated that these genes have evolved a completely different pattern of expression from others reported thus far. They are highly induced by both osmotic stress and the plant hormone abscisic acid.
