  • Patent number: 10540885
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to the field of fire alarms. The teachings thereof may be embodied in a strobe notification appliance having: a boost circuit connected to an input voltage; an energy storage circuit charged by the boost circuit; a drive circuit generating a drive current; an LED circuit with at least one LED element; a first sampling circuit collecting an overall voltage drop of all the LED elements; and a control circuit configured to adjust the drive circuit to supply a working current during an alarming stage and supply a detection current during a detection stage. The detection current is lower than the working current and thereby light energy produced by the LED elements during the detection stage is lower than alarming light energy produced during the alarming stage. During the detection stage, the control circuit determines whether the LED circuit works normally based on the collected overall voltage drop.

  • Publication number: 20170143788
Abstract: Compositions which self-assemble under physiological conditions are formulated for application to wounds. The formulations include a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or are provided as part of a medical device or coating. The formulations may also include other therapeutic, prophylactic or diagnostic agents. The formulation can be administered as appropriate for treatment of one or more disorders or conditions. For example, the formulation may be applied to repair an injury or during surgery of the lung, eye or dura, or following an epidural or spinal tap, to stop leakage of blood, interstitial fluid, or cerebrospinal fluid. The formulation may be administered to a burn or ulcer. The formulation may be dispersed in a suture or adhesive for administration at the time of or as released following suturing or gluing of a wound, thereby limiting bleeding, loss of tissue fluids, or other fluids such as those produced by parenchymal tissues such as the liver, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract.

The compositions can include other substances (e.g., a vasoconstrictor). Also described are methods for using the compositions to promote hemostasis, to protect the skin or wounds from contamination, to decontaiminate a site upon removal of previously applied compositions that provided a protective coating, and to inhibit the movement of bodily substances other than blood. The compositions are also useful in isolating tissue, removing tissue, preserving tissue (for, e.g., subsequent transplantation or reattachment), and as bulking, stabilizing or hydrating agents. Medical devices that include the compositions (e.g., a stent or catheter), bandages or other wound dressings, sutures, and kits that include the compositions are also described.

  • Patent number: 8971051
Abstract: A chip card ejecting mechanism includes a base body, a push member, a rotating member and an elastic member resisting between the base body and the rotating member. The base body includes a guiding member defining a hole and having a number of guiding rails. Each guiding rail includes a resisting surface and a guiding surface. The push member includes a push rod extending through the hole and a number of active gears. Each active gear defines an active cooperative surface. The rotating member includes a number of the passive gears. Each passive gear includes a passive cooperative surface. When the push member is pressed toward the rotating member by a transient external force, the rotating member compresses the elastic member until the active cooperative surface arrives at the guiding surface, the elastic member releases and drives the passive cooperative gears to slide along the first sliding slot.

  • Publication number: 20130321990
Abstract: A latching assembly is used in an electronic device. The electronic device includes a first housing and a second housing. The latching assembly includes at least a pair of latching elements and at least a pair of locking elements corresponding to the latching elements. Each latching element includes a hook located in the first housing, and a catch member defined in the second housing. Each locking element includes a movable member received in the first housing. Each hook clasps one of catch members to engage the first housing and the second housing. Then the movable member moves to the second housing to resist against the hook, thereby limiting the movement of the hook relative to the catch member. An electronic device using the latching assembly is also described.
