    Abstract: An apparatus for securing an electronic device within a vehicle includes a retention base, a loading base, and a hinge assembly hinged between the retention base and the loading base. The loading base includes a retaining member. The retaining member includes a ring-shaped main body. The hinge assembly includes a pivoting shaft, a joining member assembled to the retention base, a hinge member, and a locking member. The joining member and the hinge member are sleeved around the pivoting shaft and assembled together by the locking member. The hinge member includes a hinging portion, a connecting portion connected to the hinging portion, and a rotation portion extending from the connecting portion away from the hinging portion. The hinging portion is rotatably received and latched in the main body. The rotation portion is rotatably sleeved around the pivoting shaft.

    Abstract: In a system and method for testing a serial port of a computing device, the serial port electronically connects to a test fixture. Test data is sent to a receive data (RXD) pin by a transmit data (TXD) pin. A test result is received from the serial port by the RXD pin. The TXD pin and the RXD pin work normally if the test data is identical to the test result. When voltages of a request to send (RTS) pin and a data terminal ready (DTR) pin are set at high level, the RTS pin, a data carrier detect (DCD) pin, the DTR pin, a ring indicator (RI) pin, a data send ready (DSR) pin and a clear to send (CTS) pin work normally, upon the condition that status values of the serial port indicate the voltages of the above six pins are at high level.

    Abstract: A method and system for synchronizing a main database of a server and a local database of a handheld device. A user can use an application residing in the handheld device to make transactions in the local database. During a synchronization operation, the handheld device and server are coupled. The system then determines whether the application should be updated and, if so, causes the server to provide an update. The system also causes the handheld device to provide to the server information related to the transactions made by the user to the local database. The system causes the server to perform transactions on the main database based on the transaction information. The system also causes the server to extract data from the main database. The server can then provide at least some of the extracted data to the handheld device to update the local database.

Based on the slice IDs, the server may determine storage addresses at which to store the multiple slice files in a distributed storage system using a consistent hash algorithm. The multiple slice files may be stored based on the corresponding storage addresses of the distrusted storage system.

    Abstract: A bandgap reference circuit has trimming-up resistors and trimming-down resistors for bi-directional trimming. PNP transistors have base and collectors grounded and emitters connected to parallel resistors. A difference resistor drives an inverting input of an op amp that drives a transistor that generates the bandgap reference voltage Vbg. A sensing resistor connects Vbg to a splitting node that connects to the non-inverting input through a first parallel resistor. The splitting node also connects through a second parallel resistor to the inverting input. Fuses or switches enable the trimming-up and trimming-down resistors. The trimming-up resistors are in series with the sensing resistor and the trimming-down resistors are in series with an output resistor that connects Vbg to reference voltage Vref. The circuit can be designed for a more typical process since bi-directional trimming allows Vref to be raised or lowered. Many circuits need no trimming when targeted for the typical process.

A connection based on a MTFTP or a TFTP between the BMC and the NIC is established according to the TFTP parameters. A PXE image file is provided to the NIC for downloading through the connection in response to receiving a request for downloading the PXE image file from the NIC, and the downloaded PXE image file is executed to test whether the PXE function of the NIC is normal.
