Abstract: A flat heat pipe with composite wick material includes: a flat pipe; a pipe-wall wick structure disposed on an inner wall of the pipe and extending in an axial direction of the pipe, wherein, from a perspective of its cross section, the pipe has an upper inner wall and left and right arcuate inner walls, an opening facing downward, and a lower inner wall not being completely covered; a fiber bundle disposed at the opening formed at the pipe-wall wick structure; and a working fluid disposed in the pipe. One of two contact surfaces of the fiber bundle is coupled to the lower inner wall of the pipe by sintering. The other contact surface of the fiber bundle is in contact with the pipe-wall wick structure.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to floating-point operations with down-conversion. In some embodiments, a floating-point unit is configured to perform fused multiply-addition operations based on first and second different instruction types. In some embodiments, the first instruction type specifies result in the first floating-point format and the second instruction type specifies fused multiply addition of input operands in the first floating-point format to generate a result in a second, lower-precision floating-point format. For example, the first format may be a 32-bit format and the second format may be a 16-bit format. In some embodiments, the floating-point unit includes rounding circuitry, exponent circuitry, and/or increment circuitry configured to generate signals for the second instruction type in the same pipeline stage as for the first instruction type. In some embodiments, disclosed techniques may reduce the number of pipeline stages included in the floating-point circuitry.

Abstract: A data communication system applied in an Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) bus includes a complex programmable logic device (CPLD) and a communication device. The CPLD includes a signal obtaining unit, a counting unit, and a comparing unit. The signal obtaining unit obtains SDA and SCL signals of the I2C bus of the communication device, and transmits same to the counting unit. The counting unit counts the valid data of the SDA within one clock cycle of the SCL signal to get a count value, and transmits the count value to the comparing unit. The comparing unit compares the count value with a second preset value, and outputs the corresponding data in decoded form according to the result of comparison.

Abstract: A child safety seat includes a base and a seat part. The seat part includes a back portion and a sitting portion, which are movably disposed on the base and are pivotally connected with each other. An adjustment mechanism for the child safety seat includes a positioning structure and a dragging part. The positioning structure is movably disposed on the base or the seat part. The dragging part extends toward the positioning structure. The positioning structure selectively fixes or releases the dragging part. When the dragging part is released by the positioning structure, a manipulator can manipulate the dragging part to make the sitting portion and the back portion relatively pivot to switch the child safety seat between a lying status and a sitting status. Thereby, the manipulator can conveniently and quickly adjust the child safety seat through the adjustment mechanism.

A mobile device obtains an image captured by the mobile device, obtains a set of street view images, and obtains a first graph of the image captured by the mobile device and a plurality of second graphs of the set of the street view images. The first graph includes nodes representing interest points in the image captured by the mobile device, and the plurality of the second graphs includes nodes representing interest points in the set of the street view images. The mobile device determines a location of the mobile device, based on relevance between the first graph and the plurality of the second graphs.

Abstract: A sputtering target includes an indium cerium zinc oxide represented by In2CexZnO4+2x, wherein x=0.5˜2. A method for making a sputtering target includes steps of: mixing indium oxide (In2O3) powder, cerium oxide (CeO2) powder, and zinc oxide (ZnO) powder to form a mixture, a molar ratio of indium (In), cerium (Ce), and zinc (Zn) as In:Ce:Zn in the mixture is 2:(0.5 to 2):1; and sintering the mixture at a temperature in a range from about 1250° C. to about 1650° C.
