  • Publication number: 20130076543
Abstract: A decoding method for biphase-encoded data is provided. The decoding method includes detecting falling-edge transitions in the biphase-encoded data to decode according to a time difference (?t) between each two adjacent falling-edge transitions and the logic value of previous bit. When ?t is 1 bit period and previous bit is logic 1, it's determined that present bit is logic 1. When ?t is 1 bit period and previous bit is logic 0, it's determined that present bit is logic 0. When ?t is 1.5 bit periods and previous bit is logic 1, it's determined that present and next bits are both logic 0. When ?t is 1.5 bit periods and previous bit is logic 0, it's determined that present bit is logic 1. When ?t is 2 bit periods and previous bit is logic 1, it's determined that present and next bits are logic 0 and 1 respectively.

  • Publication number: 20070069180
Abstract: A process is provided for producing substantially monodisperse phosphorescent oxide nanoparticles with rare earth element dopants uniformly dispersed therein, in-which a soluble salt of one or more oxide-forming host metals and a soluble salt of one or more rare earth elements are dissolved in a polar solvent in which the rare earth element salts are soluble to form a precursor solution; droplets of the solution having a particle size less than about 20 microns are suspended in an inert carrier gas; the carrier gas with droplets suspended therein is contacted with a flame fueled by a reactive gas; and the suspended droplets are uniformly heated in the flame to a reaction temperature sufficient to form active radicals that accelerate the formation of activated phosphorescent oxide nanoparticles with uniform rare earth ion distribution. Rare earth doped monodisperse activated cubic phase phosphorescent oxide nano-particles are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050169830
Abstract: The present invention is directed to the creation of macroscopic materials and objects comprising aligned nanotube segments. The invention entails aligning single-wall carbon nanotube (SWNT) segments that are suspended in a fluid medium and then removing the aligned segments from suspension in a way that macroscopic, ordered assemblies of SWNT are formed. The invention is further directed to controlling the natural proclivity of nanotube segments to self assemble into ordered structures by modifying the environment of the nanotubes and the history of that environment prior to and during the process. The materials and objects are “macroscopic” in that they are large enough to be seen without the aid of a microscope or of the dimensions of such objects.

  • Publication number: 20050068927
Abstract: This invention discloses a method of transmitting data through Local Area Network by abandoning the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to eliminate the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) and avoid unnecessary delay and communication flow. The present invention also abandons the concept of TCP/IP address, so that it is not necessary to maintain the huge TCP/IP address database in wireless LAN in order to implement the gapless roaming and reduce packet conflict during the transmission process by defining a smaller capacity for the data packet head in the high-speed wireless LAN standard IEEE 802.11 protocol.

  • Publication number: 20040099391
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process of manufacturing a high bulk, low weight paper product produced by using a high level of groundwood containing sheet, blade coating with specifically formulated coatings then passing the paper web between two extended-nip calenders, one calender for each side of paper. As a result, densification of the resulting coated paper product is reduced, while maintaining stiffness and opacity comparable to heavier weight sheets.
