    Abstract: A negative electrode active material layer includes a first part and a second part in a thickness direction, and the first part is a part close to a negative electrode current collector is described. During charging of a battery, a lithiation state at the second part is higher, and a lithiation state at the first part is lower. When a mass percentage of a silicon-based material in the first part is greater than a mass percentage of a silicon-based material in the second part, expansion of the silicon-based material in the negative electrode active material layer can be alleviated. Charging and discharging of the battery can be met without full intercalation for the silicon-based material in the first part, and the silicon-based material in the first part does not need to operate at full load.

By the present application, the resulting secondary batteries have higher first-cycle Coulomb efficiency and longer cycle life under the premise of good fast charging performance.
