Abstract: Methods, servers, and clients for pushing and/or displaying a splash screen are provided herein. In an exemplary embodiment, a server can receive identification information sent from a client. The identification information can include user identification, a globally unique identifier (GUID) of the client, or a combination thereof. The server can obtain feature information correlated with the identification information from a preset database. The server can configure a splash screen according to the feature information and send the splash screen to the client. The splash screen can be displayed next time when the client is opened up.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and a system for performing scanning and killing on browser bookmarks, the method comprising: receiving, by a browser background server, a synchronization request that includes a user account and bookmark web addresses from a browser client; storing, by the browser background server, the bookmark web addresses correspondingly to the user account; and receiving a cloud scanning and killing instruction that includes the user account from the browser client, performing risk scanning and killing on the bookmark web addresses which the user account corresponds to, determining a risky web address, and feeding back a scanning and killing result that includes the risky web address to the browser client, by the browser background server. The solutions of the present invention can improve security of the browser bookmarks, and save storage spaces of a terminal device where the browser client resides.

Abstract: A plug-in management apparatus for managing plug-ins installed in application programs may comprise a local plug-in management module disposed in a client device. The local plug-in management module may be configured to detect a plug-in installed in an application program; determine an activation status of the plug-in; and when the plug-in is active, turn off the plug-in when the plug-in has been in an idle condition for a time longer than a predetermined idle time. The local plug-in management module may also be configured to delete a plug-in when an activation frequency of the plug-in is lower than a predetermined frequency; clean a plurality of caches used by the plug-in when a quantity of the plurality of caches is greater than a pre-determined cache quantity or when the plug-in has been activated for a time longer than a predetermined activation time.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for obtain webpages. The method comprises: receiving a webpage identifier through a browser; determining whether the webpage identifier comprises an error; if the webpage identifier comprises an error, matching the error with a corresponding correction method in a pre-stored matching table for webpage identifier errors; correcting the webpage identifier in accordance with the matched correction method; and sending the corrected webpage identifier to a server to obtain a corresponding webpage. Errors in the webpage identifier can be automatically corrected, which saves time and enhances the browsing experiences.

Abstract: A method, terminal, cache server and system for displaying multimedia content in a browser, comprising receiving a webpage identifier in a browser window for a webpage comprising multimedia content, generating a multimedia content display request corresponding to the multimedia content, and sending the multimedia content display request to server, receiving multimedia content returned from the server, activating a multimedia display plug-in of the browser to display a multimedia display window, and displaying the received multimedia content in the multimedia display window, wherein the multimedia display window in an initial state is smaller than the browser window.

After receiving a validation request from a third party server, the main server for the browser application may choose to grant or deny the request. The validation request, which may include a third party identifier, a user identifier, and a session key, can be triggered by a data access request from the browser application. If there is an active communication session between the client terminal and the server, the server may send an authorization request to the third party so that the third party server allows the client terminal to access non-sensitive data associated with the user identifier through the browser application without further validation of the data access request. The current invention provides additional convenience and security for third party login operations.

Abstract: Provided is a method for synchronizing an application and a background server. The method includes: after a user logs on a browser of a mobile terminal device through inputting an account and a password, receiving information of an operation system running on the mobile terminal device and version information of the browser from the mobile terminal device; obtaining a set of identifications of applications corresponding to the account; determining a URL and an icon that correspond to an identification of an application matching the information of the operation system and the version information of the browser in the set of identifications of applications; and sending the identification of the matched application, and the URL and the icon that correspond to the identification of the matched application to the mobile terminal device.

Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure provide a method, device and system for pushing network data. The method includes: a backend server obtains description information of a user attribute according to user data collected through an interaction with a user terminal; obtain network data matched with the description information of the user attribute, and pushing the network data to the user terminal. The technical solutions of the present disclosure may reduce the load of a backend server, and a user may get personalized data contents.

Abstract: An information sharing method and the system thereof are provided. The method includes obtaining an information exported file by exporting the information to be shared, and storing the information exported file according to an assigned network address; generating a two-dimensional code according to the network address of the stored information exported file; sharing the generated two-dimensional code, and importing the information exported file by scanning the shared two-dimensional code. The system include an export processing module, a two-dimensional code generating module, a two-dimensional code sharing module, and an importing module. By the above method and system, the operation will be more convenient.

Described are a method and a system for sending webpage content of browser bookmark uniform resource locator (URL). The method includes the following steps: receiving browser bookmark URL information sent from a client, the browser bookmark URL information comprising a browser bookmark URL and a message indicating whether the client starts a function of webpage content offline downloading; determining whether a function of webpage content offline downloading of the client is started according to the prompting message; when the function of webpage content offline downloading of the client is client is started, extracting key webpage content of the webpage corresponding to the browser book mark URL; and sending the key webpage content to the client. The exemplary embodiments of present disclosure can save network traffic and improve a reading efficiency of the webpage corresponding to the bookmark URL.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and terminal device for playing media synchronously. Abstract: A method for generating a web browser launch page is performed at a computer. The computer receives a user input to start a web browser application. In response to the user input, the computer identifies a set of favorite website addresses defined by the user and a set of website addresses visited by the user during a predefined time period and determines, among them, a set of favorite website addresses visited by the user during the predefined time period. For each favorite website address, the computer determines a timestamp of a most recent visit by the user, a number of visits by the user during the predefined time period, and a current score of the favorite website address and generates a new score for the favorite website address. Finally, the computer displays the set of favorite website addresses in a first window in an order consistent with their scores.
