    Abstract: A phase shifting system for antennas includes: a plurality of transmission assemblies, each of which has a gear set and a rack that can be driven by the gear set, the gear set having a clutch gear that can switch between a coupled position and a decoupled position, wherein in the coupled position of the clutch gear, the gear set can drive the rack to move, and in the decoupled position of the clutch gear, the rack cannot be driven by the gear set; a plurality of phase shifting transmission elements, each of which is correspondingly disposed to the clutch gear of the plurality of transmission assemblies and can be movably coupled with the clutch gear; and a phase shifting drive mechanism configured to selectively drive any one of the plurality of phase shifting transmission elements, wherein, the driven phase shifting transmission element can drive the clutch gear of the corresponding transmission assembly from the decoupled position to the coupled position.

The display may be operated in at least a video mode and a command mode. In the video mode, the system processor operates as the primary timing circuit while the display driver integrated circuit operates as the secondary timing circuit. In the command mode, the display driver integrate circuit operates as the primary timing circuit while the system processor operates as the secondary timing circuit. The system processor may be configured to switch between video mode and the command mode without turning off the electronic device and without turning off the display driver integrated circuit. If desired, the display can be temporarily turned off during a mode switching event to hide potential front of screen artifacts.

    Abstract: A combination of two or more trained machine learning models can exhibit a combined accuracy greater than the accuracy of any one of the constituent models. However, this increase accuracy comes at additional computational cost. Cascades of machine learning models are provided herein that result in increased model accuracy and/or reduced model compute cost. These benefits are obtained by conditionally executing one or more of the models of the cascade based on the estimated correctness of already-executed models. The estimated correctness can be obtained as an additional output of the already-executed model(s) or could be determined as an entropy, maximum class probability, maximum class logit, or other function of the output(s) of the already-executed model(s). The expected computational cost of executing the model cascade is reduced by only executing the downstream model(s) when the upstream model(s) has resulted in an output whose accuracy is suspect.
