    Abstract: A heat pipe-enhanced heat accumulation type indirect thermal desorption-based soil remediation device and method. On the one hand, by using thermal desorption gas generated by soil through heating and volatilizing as a heat transfer medium and by a circular heating manner, hot air efficiently transfers heat to the soil by contact, the treatment capacity of equipment is high. Moreover, high-temperature flue gas is kept from direct contact with the soil, so the high-temperature flue gas is prevented from being mixed with gaseous organic contaminants. Therefore, only a small amount of excess gas needs to be purified, so the equipment scale is small. On the other hand, by equipping a reactor with heat pipes and a ceramic heat accumulator, a second soil heating manner is provided, so that the heat transfer capacity per unit volume of the reactor is increased, and the treatment efficiency is significantly improved under the same scale.

    Abstract: A combination of two or more trained machine learning models can exhibit a combined accuracy greater than the accuracy of any one of the constituent models. However, this increase accuracy comes at additional computational cost. Cascades of machine learning models are provided herein that result in increased model accuracy and/or reduced model compute cost. These benefits are obtained by conditionally executing one or more of the models of the cascade based on the estimated correctness of already-executed models. The estimated correctness can be obtained as an additional output of the already-executed model(s) or could be determined as an entropy, maximum class probability, maximum class logit, or other function of the output(s) of the already-executed model(s). The expected computational cost of executing the model cascade is reduced by only executing the downstream model(s) when the upstream model(s) has resulted in an output whose accuracy is suspect.

    Abstract: A method and a device for securing a cache against side channel attacks are provided. An allocator identifier ALLOCATOR field is added to each cache entry in the present disclosure. Whenever an entry is allocated in the cache, the identifier of the software domain currently running on the processor is filled into the ALLOCATOR field of the allocation entry. When accessing the cache, the cache entry can be hit only if the identifier of the software domain currently running on the processor is identical to the ALLOCATOR field in the cache entry. If the cache entry to be replaced is invalid or its ALLOCATOR field is identical to the identifier of the software domain currently running on the processor, then the existing entry in the cache is replaced directly; otherwise, the entire cache is emptied.
