    Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating indicating cancelation of transmissions of sidelink messages are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a sidelink device includes transmitting SCI reserving a set of resources for one or more retransmissions of a message, the set of resources identifying one or more reserved resources in a time domain. The example method also includes identifying a skipped transmission associated with one or more of the set of resources reserved by the sidelink device. Additionally, the example method includes transmitting a cancelation indication indicating the skipped transmission, the cancelation indication indicating that the skipped transmission corresponds to a previous reserved resource in the time domain, a current reserved resource in the time domain, or a future reserved resource in the time domain.

    Abstract: Systems, apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media that enable and support backward cancellation indication for sidelink transmissions are described. In a situation where a sidelink data transmission with respect to one or more resources previously reserved for sidelink communication is ineffectual, a sidelink transmission user equipment (UE) may indicate the ineffectual data transmission in a transmission opportunity subsequent to the transmission having an ineffectual data transmission, such as by transmitting a backward cancellation indication (BCI). The BCI may provide information to a corresponding sidelink receiver UE regarding the resource with respect to the ineffectual data transmission. The sidelink receiver UE may use information provided by the BCI in determining whether to alter utilization of signals received on resources of the ineffectual data transmission.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may belong to a group of UEs and may identify a channel sensing schedule for the group of UEs. The channel sensing schedule may include sensing windows and resource reservation windows corresponding to each UE of the group of UEs. The channel sensing schedule may establish a pattern for the sensing windows and resource reservation windows such that the UEs may take turns performing sensing and resource selection. During a sensing window associated with the UE, the UE may sense a set of resources of a sidelink communication link to identify candidate resources. The UE may transmit, to the other UEs of the group, a message indicating results of the sensing, such as an indication of resource reservations, candidate resources, or the like. The other UEs may identify and select candidate resources based on the message.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications networks, a first wireless device may transmit sidelink control information to a second wireless device, which includes a first scheduling for an uplink transmission by a second wireless device during a first slot. The second wireless device may decode the sidelink control information to determine an operating mode of the first wireless device during the first slot, such as a transmitting mode or a receiving mode. Based on the operating mode, the second wireless device may drop or delay the uplink transmission. In some cases, the first wireless device may schedule an uplink transmission to be performed by the second wireless device during a second slot, and the first wireless device may switch from a transmitting mode to a receiving mode in order to receive the scheduled uplink transmission from the second wireless device.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for search space channel sensing in sidelink communication between one or more sensors/actuators (SAs) and programmable logic controller (PLC) in internet of things (IoT) applications. Particularly, the techniques described herein configure a search space (e.g., subset of all available sub-channels/resources) for transmission and reception of sidelink packets (e.g., physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) and physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH)) between the PLC from the one or more SAs. Thus, in some instances, the UE may perform congestion control metrics for a one or more search spaces in which the UE may transmit sidelink communications. The congestion control metrics that may be limited to the search space may preserve UE resources that would otherwise need to be expended to perform channel sensing on an entire resource pool prior to initiating sidelink communication.
