  • Patent number: 11882546
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may transmit feedback signaling for received sidelink messages to both the base station and the transmitting UE. The receiving UE may multicast a feedback message to both the base station and the transmitting UE on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) or on a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH). The base station may configure the receiving UE with resources, the transmitting UE may allocate resources to the receiving UE, or the base station may actively monitor for the feedback message. In some examples, the receiving UE may operate in a dual connectivity mode, and may transmit the feedback message to both the base station and the transmitting UE on both the PUCCH and the PSFCH.

  • Patent number: 11882559
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device, which may be a user equipment (UE), may transmit a sidelink control information SCI) message (e.g., an SCI-1 message) on a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) to a group of devices. The SCI may message may reserve a set of sidelink resources for a sidelink communication between the first device and a second device of the group of devices. The first device may receive an acknowledgment (ACK) message on a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) from the second device. Based on receiving the ACK message, the first device may release the set of sidelink resources and may transmit a release message (e.g., a physical sidelink release channel (PSRCH) message) on a PSRCH that includes an indication of the released set of sidelink resources.

  • Publication number: 20240015661
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support control signaling for repeaters with energy transfer. For example, a wireless node (e.g., a repeater) may receive control signaling including an indication of one or more configurations for relaying signals associated with multiple signal types between one or more transmitting nodes and one or more receiving nodes. In some cases, the multiple signal types may include a first signal type associated with an information communications signal and a second signal type associated with an energy transfer signal. Additionally, the wireless node may receive one or more signals of the first signal type, the second signal type, or both, and relay at least a subset of the one or more signals according to the one or more configurations.

  • Patent number: 11864172
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support half-duplex-aware resource selection in sidelink. A physical (PHY) layer at a user equipment (UE) may report available resources to a medium access control (MAC) layer excluding some resources on which the UE is scheduled to receive or other UEs are scheduled to transmit. Specifically, the PHY layer may exclude resources on which the UE is scheduled to receive from a set of resources available for a sidelink transmission from the UE. Similarly, the PHY layer at the UE may exclude resources on which other UEs are scheduled to transmit from a set of resources available for a sidelink transmission to those UEs. A MAC layer at the UE may indicate to the PHY layer (e.g., directly or indirectly) the resources to be excluded when reporting available resources.

  • Publication number: 20230422258
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may transmit to a network entity a first signal requesting a modification of allocated resources for sidelink transmission, sidelink reception, or both based on multiple transport blocks (TBs) for communication for the UE. The UE may receive, from the network entity, a downlink control information (DCI) signal granting one or more resources to the UE for sidelink communications based on the first signal. In some cases, the DCI signal may dynamically or periodically grant one or more resources for sidelink transmission, one or more resources for sidelink reception, or both for the UE. The UE may use the granted resources to communicate multiple TBs with one or more other UEs based on the DCI signal. For example, a single DCI message may allocate resources for sidelink communication of multiple TBs.

  • Patent number: 11832252
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that help reducing transmission overhead related to sidelink control information (SCI). For example, when a transmitter UE has established a sidelink communication with a receiver UE, the transmitter UE may schedule with at least one semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) process at a first time interval. The transmitter UE may sense whether a resource is available for transmissions to the receiver UE based on decoding an SCI, such as an SCI 0-1 message. The SCI is transmitted at a second time interval that is greater than the first time interval. For example, the second time interval may be a multiple of the first time interval of the at least one SPS process. The second time interval may be flexible and may be increased to reduce the number of SCI messages transmitted in certain time periods in order to reduce communication overhead.

  • Publication number: 20230375656
Abstract: Positioning of one or more user equipments (UEs) is performed using broadcast common sounding reference signals (SRS) resources for positioning. The common SRS that is broadcast by a UE is received and measured by one or more base stations and one or more other UEs. The other UEs may have known positions and may server as anchor nodes for positioning. The other UEs may have known positions and may serve as a positioning (anchor) node or may have unknown positions and may be jointly positioned with the target UE. During joint positioning, each of the other UEs may similarly broadcast a common set of SRS that is received and measured by the base stations and other UEs for positioning. An angular measurement of the SRS broadcast by one or more UEs may be measured and used to resolve minor symmetry in positioning solutions.
