The example method also includes receiving a second sidelink transmission, the first sidelink transmission and the second sidelink transmission together including at least the first DMRS and a second DMRS. The example method also includes receiving, from a second UE, an indication of a bundling relationship between the first sidelink transmission and the second sidelink transmission, the bundling relationship including at least one of strong bundling, weak bundling, or no bundling. The example method also includes performing channel estimation for a channel associated with the first sidelink transmission and the second sidelink transmission based at least in part on the bundling relationship.

If the UE is not capable of transmitting the first and second sidelink transmissions concurrently, the UE may transmit the sidelink transmission associated with the higher priority.     Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a base station to indicate use of a mini-slot based resource allocation in sidelink communications between a Tx UE and a Rx UE. Initially, the base station configures control information indicating a sidelink data resource for a mini-slot, and transmits the control information to a Tx UE. After the Tx UE receives the control information, the Tx UE transmits sidelink data in the sidelink data resource to a Rx UE. Similarly, the Rx UE receives the control information from either the Tx UE or the base station, and the Rx UE receives the sidelink data in the sidelink data resource from the Tx UE. Accordingly, the base station may schedule the Tx UE and Rx UE to communicate sidelink data in mini-slots rather than slots, thereby reducing scheduling latency, increasing the number of available resources, and achieving more flexibility in sidelink communications.
