    Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods may operate to receive a real image or real images of a coverage area of a surveillance camera. Building Information Model (BIM) data associated with the coverage area may be received. A virtual image may be generated using the BIM data. The virtual image may include at least one three-dimensional (3-D) graphics that substantially corresponds to the real image. The virtual image may be mapped with the real image. Then, the surveillance camera may be registered in a BIM coordination system using an outcome of the mapping.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for carrier frequency offset (CFO) and channel estimation of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmissions over multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) frequency-selective fading channels. A wireless transmitter forms blocks of symbols by inserting training symbols within two or more blocks of information-bearing symbols. The transmitter applies a hopping code to each of the blocks of symbols to insert a null subcarrier at a different position within each of the blocks of symbols, and a modulator outputs a wireless signal in accordance with the blocks of symbols. A receiver receives the wireless signal and estimates the CFO, and outputs a stream of estimated symbols based on the estimated CFO.

    Abstract: Various implementations of the invention provide for a one-piece surgical stapling apparatus that includes a stapler head and an anvil head assembly. The anvil head assembly is tiltable between a tilted position and a transverse position, and anvil plates of the anvil head assembly are moveable about one or more hinges between a closed and an open position. When in the tilted and closed positions, the anvil assembly has a reduced footprint that allows the anvil assembly to be passed directly through a trocar and holes created in the bodily tissues, which eliminates the need for separate placement of the anvil head. At the site of the anastomosis, the anvil head assembly can be moved to the transverse and open positions, and the stapling head may be engaged to fire staples against the anvil head.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a magnesium compound-supported nonmetallocene catalyst, which is produced by directly contacting a catalytically active metallic compound with a nonmetallocene ligand-containing magnesium compound, or by directly contacting a nonmetallocene ligand with a catalytically active metal-containing magnesium compound, through an in-situ supporting process. The process is simple and flexible. In the process, there are many variables in response for adjusting the polymerization activity of the catalyst, and the margin for adjusting the catalyst load or the catalyst polymerization activity is broad. The magnesium compound-supported nonmetallocene catalyst according to this invention can be used for olefin homopolymerization/copolymerization, in combination with a comparatively less amount of the co-catalyst, to achieve a comparatively high polymerization activity. Further, the polymer product obtained therewith boasts high bulk density and adjustable molecular weight distribution.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a bisamide-containing novel liquid chromatographic media and method of synthesizing the same. A novel polar bisamide functional group, which can form hydrogen bonds or ion pairs with residual silanols on the surface of silica gel, is used as the bonded phase on the surface of silica gel to better shield the activity of silanols and to eliminate the influence of residual silanol groups. Compared with conventional C18 columns, these novel bonded phases have different selectivity; they can work not only in 0 to 100% water but also in 0 to 100% organic mobile phase. In particular, they exhibit good peak shapes and resolutions for polar and basic compounds and have good stability within a very wide pH range. These properties make the new stationary phases a useful complement to conventional C18 columns for a variety of HPLC applications.
