  • Patent number: 9607623
Abstract: Following transmission of a watermarked audio signal over an acoustic path causing echoes, reverberation and/or noise, watermark detection correlation result peak values are concentrated within a limited temporal range around main correlation result peaks, which limited temporal range is much smaller than the total correlation length. The watermark detection is based on the following: given np correlation result peak values v=(v1, v2, . . . , vnp) in an average or expected probability distribution for correlation result values for unmarked content, the probability is calculated that within windows covering the limited temporal range there are np or more values from a correlation result value set greater than or equal to these peaks v.

  • Publication number: 20170045624
Abstract: The invention relates to generating regional tropospheric correction information for correcting observations useful for estimating phase ambiguities and/or a position of global or regional navigation satellite systems (NSS) receiver(s). For each of a plurality of reference stations, at least one troposphere correction parameter is estimated by evaluating NSS observation equations using i) precise satellite information or the information derived from the precise satellite information, and ii) received multiple-frequency-signals-based raw observations or a linear combination thereof. The regional tropospheric correction information is then generated based on the estimated troposphere correction parameter(s) per reference station, the tropospheric correction information comprising a regional tropospheric delay function(s) and coefficients representing a tropospheric delay affecting a NSS signal passing through the troposphere in a region of interest.

  • Patent number: 9557419
Abstract: Accuracy information for an ionosphere model is generated. Phase residual information of a parameter estimation procedure is obtained and coordinates of pierce points are computed on a sphere around the earth. The coordinates indicate where signals pierce the sphere. Phase residual information is mapped for each pierce point. A grid of equidistant points is put on the sphere and the pierce points are identified. For each selected grid point, vertical accuracy information is computed based on vertical residual information, and a scale factor is computed based on the vertical accuracy information. The accuracy information for the ionosphere model is generated based on the vertical accuracy information computed for the selected grid points and an overall scale factor computed based on computed scale factors.

  • Publication number: 20160377730
Abstract: The invention relates to generating correction information to be used to correct observations coming from a navigation satellite system (NSS) receiver in a region of interest. For each of a plurality of reference stations in said region, raw observations obtained by the reference station observing NSS multiple-frequency signals from a plurality of satellites over multiple epochs are received. Then, precise satellite information on the orbit position, clock offset, and biases of each satellite is obtained. For each reference station, ambiguities in the carrier phase of the received raw observations are estimated, using the precise satellite information and the position coordinates of the reference station. Geometric-free phase linear combination values are then computed based on the received raw observations together with the estimated ambiguities. The correction information is generated based on the computed geometric-free phase linear combination values.

  • Publication number: 20160379653
Abstract: A challenge of audio watermarking systems in which an acoustic path is involved is the robustness against microphone pickup in case of surrounding noise. The strength of phase-based watermarking is increased by determining a masking threshold for a current frequency bin in a frequency/phase representation changing the phase based on that masking threshold and an allowed phase change value, calculating an allowed magnitude change value for the current frequency bin and calculating from an audio quality level value a magnitude change scaling factor for the magnitude change value, and increasing its magnitude accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20160314795
Abstract: Improvement of water-mark detection in watermarked microphone audio signals picked up in the presence of surrounding noise is achieved by using at encoder side not only the originally received signal for the calculation of the masking threshold and the watermarking strength, but by also taking into account the level of the surrounding noise. This enables an adaptation of the watermarking strength to the current sound pressure level SPL of the surrounding noise. If the SPL of the surrounding noise is increased, the watermarking strength will be increased accordingly. The resulting advantage is a significantly improved audio watermark detection in the presence of surrounding noise.

  • Publication number: 20160217798
Abstract: In watermark symbol detection for watermarked audio signals a correlation and statistical detection is used, which is computationally complex. Therefore a downsampling can be used prior to the correlation. However, if the watermarked audio signals are transmitted over an acoustic path, without downsampling the detection rate is considerably higher than the detection rate when including downsampling of the correlation input signals. There is a trade-off between calculation complexity and detection robustness. According to the invention, an interpolation of the correlation result values is carried out for input to the statistical detector, in order to approximate the detection robustness of correlation without downsampling.
