    Abstract: Similarity-based deformable registration of medical images that contain tumor regions often undesirably leads to disproportionate volume changes to tumor regions. An image-registration framework for preserving tumor volumes while promoting similarity in non-tumor part is provided. The framework involves a two-stage process. In the first stage, similarity-based registration is used to identify potential tumor regions by their volume change, generating a soft tumor mask accordingly. In the second stage, a volume-preserving registration network is used. The network uses a novel adaptive volume-preserving loss that penalizes the change in size adaptively based on the masks calculated from the previous stage. The framework balances image similarity and volume preservation in different regions, i.e. non-tumor and tumor regions, by using soft tumor masks to adjust the imposition of volume-preserving loss on each one. It ensures that the tumor volumes are preserved during the registration process.

    Abstract: This invention discloses a non-heat treatable die-cast aluminum-silicon (Al—Si) alloy with high toughness and its preparation method. By controlling the Mn/Fe ratio to a specific value, the adverse effects of Fe in the alloy can be effectively suppressed. In addition, a certain proportion of rare earth elements are introduced into the alloy to effectively refine the Si and form high-temperature phases with elements such as Al and Cu, therefore improving the deformation resistance of the alloy when applied to one-piece die-cast large-scale structural parts. When taking specimens from the casting after die casting for testing, the specimens have the following properties: tensile strength 290 Mpa, yield strength 140 Mpa, and elongation 13%. The alloy also has excellent die-cast molding performance, and the energy used is clean, which meets low-carbon emission standards.

For the set of pixels depicting the particular color, the pattern-detection application converts an initial set of pixel values of the set of pixels at an initial color space to another set of pixel values that define the particular color of the set of pixels in another color space. The pattern-detection application modifies one or more values of the other set of pixel values to generate a modified set of pixel values. The modification includes causing the set of pixels visually indicate a simulated color that is different from the particular color.
