The locating apparatus includes a locating board supporting workpieces and defining at least one detecting aperture therethrough. The determining apparatus includes a detecting module, the detecting module includes at least one laser detector, each laser detector includes a laser emitter and a laser receiver respectively mounted on two opposite sides of the locating board. The main processor is connected to the locating apparatus and the determining apparatus, the laser emitter emits laser beams traveling through the detecting aperture and received by the laser receiver, and the main processor determines the dimension of the workpiece according to the dimension of parts on the laser receiver shielded by the workpiece.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for processing workflow tasks is disclosed. The method includes receiving a user operation to start a task, determining if the user operation starts a new task according to a task status table, obtaining a version number of a task processing program from a configuration file or the task status table according to a determined result. The method further includes sending the version number to a task processing server, the task processing server comprising one or more task processing programs with different version numbers, loading the task processing program for processing the user operation according to the version number, recording processed results, and storing the processed results in the task status table.

Abstract: A video quality measurement (VQM) system for a video stream includes a neural network VQM module having a constructed architecture to calculate a video quality metric based on a hybrid of image metric and packet metric of the video stream. An image metric measuring module receives the video stream and calculates the image metric of the video stream. A packet metric measuring module obtains information about packet-level characteristics of the video stream to calculate the packet metric. The image metric and the packet metric are inputted to the neural network VQM module to calculate the video quality metric. The VQM system further includes a VQM test-bed that determines and validates the architecture of the neural network VQM module. Furthermore, a video quality measurement (VQM) method based on a hybrid of image metric and packet metric is also described.

Abstract: A packet loss metric calculation system for a video stream includes an intercepting module to intercept a plurality of adjacent image frames in the video stream. A sampling module samples a plurality of pixel blocks in predetermined locations in each of the intercepted image frames. A detecting module detects the change of each of the sampled blocks over all intercepted image frames to determine whether there is an image quality decline in the block. A packet loss metric generator generates the packet loss metric based on the number of blocks detected by the detecting module to have image quality decline. Furthermore, a method for calculating packet loss metric of a video stream is also described.

Abstract: A traffic information sensor system includes an image acquisition device to generate video images of a traffic scene. The system also includes an image detection device to extract traffic information from the video images in connection with the lane position information of the traffic scene. The system also includes an information transfer device to transmit the extracted traffic information instead of the video images to a traffic management center. A traffic information detection method and system is also described.
