  • Publication number: 20170096196
Abstract: A cargo transfer monitoring system at least comprises at least one vessel motion sensor, one pair of wireless modems, a central data processing unit with decision-making module, a rugged display panel as the operator station, and communication coupling. The cargo transfer operation will be carried out by a crane operator sitting in the crane cabin on the primary vessel. The transfer will take place either from target vessel to primary vessel or from primary vessel to target vessel. The sensor(s) collect the real-time motion of vessels, which is carried over to the central computer through data cable or wireless radio link. The decision-making module predicts the motion of the vessels for a subsequent time period. Based on the predicted value, the decision-making module projects the expected or predicted impact force on the payload if the operation is started at the particular time.

  • Publication number: 20160362456
Abstract: The present invention relates to increasing xylose utilization in industrial microbe by inducing mutations in the regulator genes, crp and xylR. Thus the invention is directed to isolated nucleic acid sequences that encode mutations in the crp gene and the xylR gene and recombinant bacterium that express mutated CRP and XylR. In some embodiments, the mutation results in a point mutation at residue 142 of the CRP protein and/or at point mutation at residues 121, 182 and/or 363 of the XylR protein (based on the protein sequences in E. coli). The invention also includes methods of using the recombinant bacterium.

  • Publication number: 20160156511
Abstract: The present invention is applicable to and relates to the field of communications technologies, and provides a method for delivering a static route and an ultimate provider edge (UPE). The method includes: reading, by a UPE, a packet; and delivering a corresponding static route according to related information carried in the packet. The present invention avoids problems that when a site is deployed on a large-scale radio access network, a base station cannot operate normally and a data communications device repeatedly performs troubleshooting and debugging on site caused by differences between preliminary data planning and actual site deployment data. A static route is automatically delivered by processing a packet, thereby reducing manpower costs and avoiding occurrence of human errors.

  • Publication number: 20150299670
Abstract: Four genetic traits have been identified that increase furfural tolerance in microorganisms, such as ethanol-producing Escherichia coli LY180 (strain W derivative). Increased expression of fucO, ucpA or pntAB, and deletion of yqhD were associated with the increase in furfural tolerance. Microorganisms engineered for resistance to furfural were also more resistant to the mixture of inhibitors in hemicellulose hydrolysates, confirming the importance of furfural as an inhibitory component. The combinations of genetic traits disclosed in this application can be applied, generally, to other microorganisms, such as Gram negative and Gram positive bacterial cells, yeast and fungi to increase furfural tolerance in microorganisms used to make industrially useful products.

  • Patent number: 9141642
Abstract: A method determines core geographical information in a document by computing a score for each geographical name found in the document. The computation of the score uses the appearance frequency of the respective geographical name and positional weights assigned to various types of appearance positions of the geographical name in the document. The system determines the core geographical information in the document based on the scores of the geographical names found in the document. The method may further compute aggregated scores of geographical regions related to the geographical names and determine the core geographical information using both the aggregated scores of geographical regions and the scores of individual geographical names to increase accuracy.
