  • Patent number: 7869051
Abstract: The present invention includes a system and method for coherent imaging. The system of the present invention includes a light source adapted to provide coherent light to illuminate a sample resulting in optically mixed coherent signals and a detector adapted to receive the optically mixed coherent signals and produce an output signal in response thereto. The optically mixed coherent signals will be a set of sum and difference frequency combinations of the frequencies in the coherent light. A processor is connected to the detector and adapted to ratio a selected two of the optically mixed coherent signals in response to the output signal received by the detector and to generate an image in response to the ratioed optically mixed coherent signals, which can be displayed for a user.

  • Publication number: 20100087636
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for the synthesis of IB-MECA. More specifically, the present disclosure provides a simple and high yield method for Good Manufacturing Production (GMP) of IB-MECA. The method involves the reaction of 6-halopurine-9-riboside with a diol protecting reagent; oxidation of the primary alcohol in the diol protected 6-halopurine-9-riboside with a diol protecting reagent; oxidation of the primary alcohol in the diol protected 6-halopurine; reaction of the diol protected 6-halopurine with a nucleophile (e.g. methylamine); substitution of the halogen group with iodobenzylamine and removal of the diol protecting group.

  • Publication number: 20040229245
Abstract: Methods and algorithms for quality control in gene expression profiling on DNA microarray technology are disclosed including methods and algorithms for assessing quality control of the printing of a DNA microarray, the preparation of an RNA sample, the labeling of probes, the hybridization between a DNA microarray and probes, the result of washing procedures, the result of scanning procedures, and for quantifying the gene expression data produced by imaging the hybridized DNA microarray.

  • Publication number: 20030036857
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and systems for database comparison and database searching and matching, and specifically to database comparison and database searching and matching of databases containing biomolecular sequences as well as databases comprising matched sequences, as well as the use of databases comprising matched biomolecular sequences. In addition, a database comprising matched sequences or a database comprising matched biomolecular sequences may be accessed via a graphical user interface.

  • Publication number: 20020156038
Abstract: Implementing gene expression to study drug action in the central nervous system is complicated by functional heterogeneity because of the existence of many different neuronal subtypes within the mammalian brain. The integration of laser capture microdissection (LCM) and RNA amplification with cDNA microarray technology allows for large-scale gene expression analysis at cellular level. Using this approach, we have generated gene expression profiles of imipramine, a reference antidepressant, and a new putative antidepressant, novelR1 in several laser-captured brain nuclei (locus coeruleus, dorsal raphe, hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus and hippocampus) of rats subjected to the chronic mild stress model (CMS) of depression.
