  • Publication number: 20220381470
Abstract: Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and methods of use are described. The HVAC system includes at least one internal surface temperature sensor configured to provide an interior wall surface temperature measurement. The internal surface temperature sensor is positioned on an interior surface of an external wall of the residential house. The HVAC system also includes a control system in communication over a network with the internal surface temperature sensor. The control system is configured to obtain the interior wall surface temperature measurement and apply a home heat transfer model to determine a predicted space air temperature. • Publication number: 20210394183
Abstract: Devices, methods, and kits are provided for allergy testing based on basophil activation in a blood sample. Susceptibility of an individual to an allergic reaction to an allergen is detected by collecting a blood sample from the individual and assaying for activation of basophils in response to stimulation with an allergen. In particular, a microfluidic device is provided for automating the assay for detecting basophil activation as an indication of the susceptibility of an individual to an allergic reaction as well as kits containing such a device and diagnostic methods for using such a device for allergy testing. Additionally, such a microfluidic device can be adapted for multiplexed detection of allergic responses to multiple allergens by performing assays in parallel to detect the basophil responses to each allergen.

  • Publication number: 20210228988
Abstract: Events in an interactive application (e.g., a location-based parallel reality game) are triggered by a user's real-world activity meeting one or more criteria. A background process executing on the user's client device periodically extracts activity data from an activity monitoring application (e.g., a fitness application) and provides it to a server hosting the interactive application. The server determines whether received activity data triggers an event and, if so, sends a notification of the event to the client device.

  • Publication number: 20200222667
Abstract: A guiding sheath assembly has a shaft that is operable to define more than one deflection curvature and defines a lumen to slidably receive a cardiovascular catheter. The guiding sheath assembly includes a proximal section, a distal section, and a stiffener member. The proximal section has a proximal shaft that defines a proximal lumen extending distally along a longitudinal axis to the distal section. The distal section has a distal shaft that defines a distal lumen that is configured to be biased (e.g., resiliently biased) laterally away from the longitudinal axis. The stiffener member is a rigid elongate member, such as an inner tubular member, that is configured to counteract the bias of the distal shaft. Longitudinal movement of the stiffener member relative to the distal section enables the operator to select and set a deflection curvature of the distal section.
