  • Publication number: 20200339173
Abstract: A stroller includes a foldable frame comprising carbon fiber. The frame is configured to removably connect to at least one of a stroller seat and an infant car seat. The stroller includes a plurality of wheels that support the frame, and a handle coupled to the frame. The stroller may include a suspension system including a leaf having a flexible cantilevered portion fixed at a first end thereof to the stroller frame. The cantilevered portion has a second, free end spaced from the frame. The cantilevered portion is configured to flex about the fixed end. The suspension system includes a damper disposed between the first and second ends of the cantilevered portion and the stroller frame. The damper is configured to compress and expand in response to flexing of the cantilevered portion. A wheel is connected to an underside of said cantilevered portion of the leaf.

  • Publication number: 20200331368
Abstract: Embodiments of a car seat include an outer protective shell, an inner seat, a suspension system connecting and permitting relative movement between the inner seat and the outer protective shell. The suspension system may include a plurality of plastically deformable suspension elements. Also, embodiments of a car seat system include a frame constructed to couple to a vehicle seat. The frame and/or the car seat may have a plastically deformable energy absorbing element extending outwardly to absorb energy, such as from a side impact. The frame may include tubular members filled with reinforcing material. The frame may have a connection arrangement with the car seat to restrict connection of the car seat so that it can only be installed in predefined orientations relative to the frame. The car seat may have a harness that includes a bolster panel or straps to limit movement of an occupant in the car seat.

  • Patent number: 4183735
Abstract: A rapping system is provided for the collecting electrode plates of an electrostatic precipitator. The rapping mechanism is placed above the plates outside the precipitator casing, and the rapping impacts are transmitted by a transmitting member having rigidly joined vertical and horizontal portions. The transmitting member is hingedly or pivotally mounted on a fixed support at the joint between the vertical and horizontal portions. The horizontal portion is connected to a collector plate or to an impact distributing member which is attached to a plurality of collector plates. The vertical portion extends upward to the rapping mechanism and the impacts are transmitted down to the horizontal portion and through the horizontal portion to one or more plates.

  • Patent number: 4177047
Abstract: An electrostatic precipitator is provided utilizing an improved material for the collecting electrodes and other elements of the precipitator. The new material is a fiberglass reinforced resin with a conductive and corrosion-resistant surface layer consisting of resin containing graphite powder and one or more veils, or thin mats, of graphite at or near the surface. A relatively highly conductive, corrosion-resistant surface layer is thus provided for the electrodes while the material is also a suitable structural material for other parts of the precipitator such as the casing. Tube sheets and supports for tubular collecting electrodes may also be made of this material with provision for grounding the electrode surfaces at both the top and bottom of the tubes.
