    Abstract: The present invention is a multi-layer computer architecture which separately extracts ALC business and logical functions and data. The architecture creates a Java object model or other target language object model which allows comparison of ALC data with target language data to verify logical processes. These object models can be directly traced back to the legacy ALC. The data model is automatically generated from a scan of the ALC and leverages generic patterns which can be reused to generate Java representations of other legacy code bases.

    Abstract: A method and a system for issuing proof-equipped certificates for a Certificate Authority (CA) includes an I/O processing module and a certificate generation module. A CSR is embedded in a DKIM email which is utilized as a verifiable proof for authorization of certificate issuance so that voluminous disposable digital certificates that quickly expire can be issued while existing CAs cannot do so due to the lack of verifiability. It makes trust transfer from the CA to a third party who owns the DKIM email server. Since a private key can be dynamically created and immediately wiped out from computer memory, hardware tokens for keeping the private key are not required. Due to the quick expiration time of digital certificate, revocation checks become unnecessary, or are only required to be simulated for compatibility. Thus, the problem of usability for digital signatures and the problem of verifiability for CAs are solved.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes an image sensing display. The display includes a cover glass and is configured as a waveguide. A volume holographic grating in the display diffracts incident light from an object positioned outside the display. The diffracted incident light has an angle of incidence relative to the volume holographic grating that satisfies the Bragg condition. The volume holographic grating diffracts the incident light through the waveguide at a predetermined angle and with a predetermined waveguide exit distance to focus at the image sensor. An image sensor is positioned at an output of the waveguide to capture the diffracted incident light propagated through the waveguide. Image processing circuitry is coupled to the image sensor to recognize a fingerprint image captured by the image sensor through the waveguide.
