Abstract: A semiconductor device manufacturing method includes providing a wafer, which includes a semiconductor substrate, a semiconductor device located on the semiconductor substrate, an interlayer dielectric layer covering the semiconductor device, and a through hole penetrating through the interlayer dielectric layer and a portion of the semiconductor substrate. A metal layer is formed inside the through hole and on a surface of the interlayer dielectric layer. A first planarization process is conducted to remove a portion of the metal layer on the surface of the interlayer dielectric layer. The method also includes conducting an annealing alloy treatment and conducting a second planarization process to completely remove the metal layer on the surface of the interlayer dielectric layer. The manufacturing methods can slowly release stress of the wafer and effectively prevent cracks in silicon vias, thereby reducing TSV leakage problems, thus improving the reliability and yield of the devices.

Abstract: An ion exchange membrane and a method of making it. The membrane may be used, for example, in an electrodialysis module or electrochemical cell. The membrane comprises an ion exchange polymer and inorganic particles preferably linked to the ion exchange polymer. To make a membrane, inorganic particles are mixed into an ion exchange membrane pre-cursor. A polymerization initiator or catalyst is then added and the resulting mixture is placed in a form and cured. The inorganic particles may comprise, for example, an oxidized form of graphite such as graphite oxide. The ion exchange polymer may comprise an ionic monomer, containing a quaternary ammonium group for anion exchange or a sulfonate group for cation exchange, along with a crosslinking co-monomer containing polymerizable diacrylic functionalities. The membrane is self-supporting and can be made without a supporting fabric.

The CZLC331 protein has a good preventive and therapeutic effect for IBD, such as ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD) in this invention. Therefore, this protein can be prepared into the drug for prevention and treatment of IBD. It has been found that the bad efficacy, slow onset, long course of treatment, side effects can be significantly avoided for existing clinical IBD drugs, it can reduce the patient's pain during the treatment in this invention. The rehabilitation and quality of life of the patients have been largely improved. The drug will play an important role in the prevention and treatment of IBD in this invention, and has broad application prospects.

Abstract: Improved compositions and methods for controlling pests are disclosed. In particular, novel engineered Cry1Ba (eCry1Ba) proteins having improved toxicity to lepidopteran insect pests are provided. By substituting at least one amino acid in domain I of a Cry1Ba protein an engineered Cry1Ba protein having substantially altered insecticidal properties is designed. Further, a method of making the engineered Cry1Ba proteins and methods of using the ecry1Ba nucleic acid sequences, for example in transgenic plants to express eCry1B proteins to confer protection from insect damage are disclosed.
