    Abstract: A cookie compliance management system enables automated evaluation of cookie compliance within an enterprise. The system determines whether a cookie set by an application in the environment is compliant with a policy. It comprises a workflow engine, a cookie discovery engine (CDE), a cookie characterization engine (CCE), a cookie policy engine (PE), and a cookie registry. The workflow engine receives a request to initiate an evaluation of an application for cookie compliance. The CDE is invoked and returns cookies that are set by the application. The CCE receives a set of base attributes associated with a cookie discovered by the CDE, and computes a set of descriptive attributes determined to be required to enable evaluation of the cookie according to a policy. The policy engine receives policy rules and the set of descriptive attributes and, in response, determines whether the cookie is compliant with the policy. The cookie registry stores cookie data.

In aspects, the firing can include heating at a maximum temperature of 1650° C. or less and/or heating at temperatures of 600° C. or more for 90 minutes or less.

    Abstract: A buck converter with an adaptive turn-on frequency of a pull-up transistor is shown. The buck converter uses a pulse-width modulation (PWM) control signal generator to generate a PWM control signal that drives a power transistor driver to generate PWM signals driving the pull-up transistor and pull-down transistor of the buck converter. Especially, the PWM control signal generator generates the PWM control signal based on feedback of an output voltage of the buck converter as well as feedback of a sensed current about a power transformation component of the buck converter, to modify a turn-on frequency of the pull-up transistor in response to a change in the sensed current.

    Abstract: The application provides drugs, expression vectors, and their applications in the treatment of NAFLD and related diseases, pertaining to the technical field of targeted drugs. The drugs include streptavidin or a recombinant expression vector for streptavidin. Streptavidin can bind to acetyl CoA carboxylase 1, alter its subcellular localization within mammalian cells, and ultimately inhibit de novo lipogenesis. Ectopic expression of streptavidin can inhibit lipid accumulation within mammalian cells. Compared with chemical small-molecule drugs, streptavidin, as a protein drug, exhibits relatively lower liver and kidney toxicity. Streptavidin might be a relatively mild inhibitor of acetyl CoA carboxylase, avoiding a severe side effect of hyperlipidemia. Furthermore, streptavidin is very stable, which might be conducive to drug delivery and adaptable to different administration methods.

    Abstract: RhoA inhibitors that can covalently bind RhoA are described herein. The disclosed RhoA inhibitors show improved inhibitory efficacy (i.e., an IC50 value down to about 400 nM). Further, the disclosed RhoA inhibitors can specifically bind RhoA over other GTPases, such as other Ras GTPases (e.g., K-Ras and N-Ras) and particularly other Rho GTPases (e.g., Cdc42 and Rac1). The combination of high RhoA inhibitory efficacy and high RhoA specificity of the disclosed RhoA inhibitors allow these compounds to show high cytotoxicity and anti-metastatic effects in cancer cells, with negligible toxicity in normal cells, in vitro and in vivo. Pharmaceutical compositions containing the RhoA inhibitors and methods of using the RhoA inhibitors or pharmaceutical composition thereof for treating cancer are also described.
