  • Publication number: 20170219333
Abstract: The present invention provides the Fabry-Perot (F-P) sensor compromising housing, measuring probe, longitudinal sling block, and displacement converting device. The optic fiber passes through upside sealing ring and extends into upside through hole with the optic fiber end surface disposed at the bottom; the upside of longitudinal sliding block is disposed with reflecting surface, thus a Fabry-Perot cavity is formed between part of the fiber end surface at the bottom of the fiber and the reflecting surface on the upside of longitudinal sliding block. The displacement converting device will convert the lateral slides of the measuring probe into the slides of the longitudinal sliding block, which thus changes the distance from the reflecting surface to the fiber end surface and changes the Fabry-Perot cavity length. Further, the sliding distance of the measuring probe can be calculated after the variation of the Fabry-Perot cavity length measured in according with the Fabry-Perot principle.

  • Publication number: 20170219343
Abstract: The present invention provides a Fabry-Perot sensor for measuring inclination. Wherein the present inclinometer is fixed on a static detected object in application use, the mass block is flexibly connected to the top plate, thus the line between the center of gravity of the mass block and the connecting point on the top plate is perpendicular to the horizontal plane; a Fabry-Perot cavity is formed between the reflecting surface disposed at one end of the mass block and the end of the optic fiber. The detected object will be in a static state after tilting, the line between the center of gravity of the mass block and its connecting point on the top plate is still perpendicular to the level plane and the F-P cavity length will have a variation. Then the change of cavity length can be measured in accordance with the Fabry-Perot principle, thereby the tilting angle of the mass block is able to be further measured. Then the tilting angle is also the inclination of the detected object.

  • Publication number: 20170167858
Abstract: The present invention provides the sensor for measuring the relative sliding between two interfaces based on the principle of EFPI. The sensor comprises two optical fibers and two slopes arranged on the reflective slope. Each surface of the slope is disposed with reflecting surface; and the bottom of each optical fiber is arranged with reflecting end surface. The reflecting surfaces are perpendicular to each of an optical axis of the fiber, thus the Fabry-Perot cavity is formed between reflective end surface and emitting surface to measure the sliding of object B relative to object A in a plane. A fiber and a slope can also be further added to measure the sliding of object B relative to object A in a three dimensional space. The sensor does not affected by the temperature and electromagnetic interference; and has the advantages of high accuracy, strong resisting interference capability and durability.

  • Publication number: 20140147627
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a strategy to create self-healing, slippery liquid-infused porous surfaces (SLIPS). Roughened (e.g., porous) surfaces can be utilized to lock in place a lubricating fluid, referred to herein as Liquid B to repel a wide range of materials, referred to herein as Object A (Solid A or Liquid A). SLIPS outperforms other conventional surfaces in its capability to repel various simple and complex liquids (water, hydrocarbons, crude oil and blood), maintain low-contact-angle hysteresis (<2.5°), quickly restore liquid-repellency after physical damage (within 0.1-1 s), resist ice, microorganisms and insects adhesion, and function at high pressures (up to at least 690 atm). Some exemplary application where SLIPS will be useful include energy-efficient fluid handling and transportation, optical sensing, medicine, and as self-cleaning, and anti-fouling materials operating in extreme environments.

  • Publication number: 20130272911
Abstract: A screw compressor includes a casing, a screw, an air entry, an air outlet, a slide valve with a flexible volume ratio, and first and second air cylinders. The slide valve is disposed between the first and second air cylinders and includes a slide valve main body. Two ends of the slide valve seal the first and second air cylinders. The first air cylinder is connected to the air outlet of the compressor through a first connection pipe, and the second air cylinder is connected to a last closed spiral flute through a second connection pipe. The slide valve searches for balance under the driving of pressures in the first and second air cylinders. The screw compressor having a slide valve with a flexible volume ratio can enable the volume ratio of the compressor to be automatically adjusted to an optimal state.

  • Patent number: 8533435
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for collecting operands specified by an instruction. As a sequence of instructions is received the operands specified by the instructions are assigned to ports, so that each one of the operands specified by a single instruction is assigned to a different port. Reading of the operands from a multi-bank register file is scheduled by selecting an operand from each one of the different ports to produce an operand read request and ensuring that two or more of the selected operands are not stored in the same bank of the multi-bank register file. The operands specified by the operand read request are read from the multi-bank register file in a single clock cycle. Each instruction is then executed as the operands specified by the instruction are read from the multi-bank register file and collected over one or more clock cycles.
