The first information carries a data size of downlink data of a terminal device buffered in a user plane function network element or a session management function network element, the terminal device is in an inactive state, and an extended discontinuous reception cycle is configured by the access network device for the terminal device. The access network device determines, based on the data size of the downlink data, that the downlink data is small data. The access network device sends a first indication to the terminal device, to indicate the terminal device to perform small data transmission, and a second indication to the user plane function network element, to indicate the user plane function network element to send the small data to the access network device.

    Abstract: An immunomodulatory hydrogel is prepared using methoxy polyethylene glycol amine (mPEG-NH2) as an initiator, the mPEG-NH2 reacts with L-tyrosine-N-carboxyanhydrides (L-Tyr-NCAs) to form a methoxy polyethylene glycol-poly L-tyrosine (PETyr) as a PETyr block copolymer. The PETyr is then reacted with tyrosinase to form an oxidized methoxy polyethylene glycol-poly L-tyrosine copolymer (PETO). By co-dissolving the PETO with octyl itaconate nanomicelles (ITA8) in a disperse medium, an itaconic acid-loaded immunomodulatory hydrogel (PETO-ITA8) is obtained.

    Abstract: Techniques are presented for detecting when drivers drive while drowsy. In some implementations, a drowsiness model is trained with data associated with inward videos and outward videos captured during a trip. The inward videos capture the inside of the cabin with the driver, and the outward videos capture the view in front of the vehicle in the direction of travel. Further, a device at the vehicle periodically calculates a drowsiness scale index value that indicates the level of drowsiness of the driver. Calculating the drowsiness scale index value includes obtaining a set of inward frames from the inward videos; for each inward frame, creating a face image by cropping the inward frame; obtaining a set of outward frames from the outward videos; calculating inward embeddings of the face images and outward embeddings of the outward frames; and calculating, by the drowsiness model, the drowsiness scale index value.

    Abstract: Cathode material from exhausted lithium ion batteries are dissolved in a solution for extracting the useful elements Co (cobalt), Ni (nickel), Al (Aluminum) and Mn (manganese) to produce active cathode materials for new batteries. The solution includes compounds of desirable materials such as cobalt, nickel, aluminum and manganese dissolved as compounds from the exhausted cathode material of spent cells. Depending on a desired proportion, or ratio, of the desired materials, raw materials are added to the solution to achieve the desired ratio of the commingled compounds for the recycled cathode material for new cells. The desired materials precipitate out of solution without extensive heating or separation of the desired materials into individual compounds or elements. The resulting active cathode material has the predetermined ratio for use in new cells, and avoids high heat typically required to separate the useful elements because the desired materials remain commingled in solution.
