    Abstract: A method for generating channel state information (CSI). The method includes determining the maximum amplitude of the real and imaginary parts of each element of a channel matrix, converting each maximum amplitude to a fixed-point value within a predefined range, determining a bit-shifting number for each maximum amplitude by comparing each fixed-point value with a series of predefined threshold values within the predefined range, quantizing the real and imaginary parts of each element of the channel matrix to an integer, and bit-shifting each of the quantized real and imaginary parts of each element of the channel matrix towards the most significant bit (MSB) by the corresponding bits and truncating the bit-shifted result to a predefined number of bits for generating channel state information (CSI) for use in communication.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for segmenting uplink transmissions by ambient-power (AMP) devices are provided. In embodiments, data collected by an AMP device is divided into segments, which are transmitted according to the energy available to the AMP device and the resources allocated by a receiving network access point. The AMP device can signal to the access point its current energy availability and the segmentation of the data by setting specific fields in the data frames used to transmit the data segments. In embodiments, a wake-up radio frame is used to transmit the data and the medium access control header thereof is used to communicate segmentation and energy information. In addition, the access point can infer whether the resources that it is allocating to the AMP device are sufficient according to this information. Embodiments can enable AMP devices to avoid deferring data transmissions and consuming power unnecessarily.

    Abstract: According to a first aspect of the disclosure, methods are discussed in which a station (STA) sends a message to an access point, for example an associated access point, about a change in multi-AP coordination parameters. A STA, which may be a mobile STA, can be in a better position than the APs themselves, for detecting changes in conditions which can affect the effectiveness, or even the desirability of the multi-AP coordination. Accordingly the STA can send a message reporting detected conditions related to multi-AP coordination. In some embodiments, such a message can request for initializing multi-AP coordination, such a message can be in response to a triggering event detected by the STA. In response to such a triggering event, the STA can analyze the STA's service needs, and send the message about a change in multi-AP coordination parameters. A second aspect of the disclosure provides an AP-to-AP negotiation process for multi-AP coordination.

A common BSS color is used for all STAs in the U-SIG field of a Co-BF PPDU. A disambiguation bit may be used in the UHR-SIG field to determine with which of two APs a STA is associated. The Initial Control Frame and Initial Control Response sequence can be leveraged to assign new STA IDs to STAs with conflicting STA IDs. STA ID conflicts can be prevented by assigning overlapping APs unique sets of most significant bits to use for all of their STA IDs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus for coordinated non-primary channel access (Co-NPCA) are provided. In one aspect, a method involves inter-BSS coordination, where a first AP communicates with a second AP to synchronize NPCA parameters, such as the NPCA primary channel and channel switching delays. In another aspect, a method for intra-BSS coordination allows an AP to inform an associated STA of the NPCA primary channel and receive feedback on channel switching delays. A further method focuses on coordinating transmission opportunities, where an AP receives and acknowledges requests from another AP for NPCA channel switching. The methods may enable more efficient NPCA operation by optimizing channel access across both overlapping and single BSS environments, reducing unnecessary channel switching, and improving power efficiency and performance during NPCA operations.
