  • Publication number: 20080295630
Abstract: A preload structure for a ball screw in the inner surface of a nut is formed a helical groove whose lead is different from the lead of the adjacent helical groove to produce a lead deviation between the helical groove of the nut and the helical groove of the screw. By such arrangements, the lead deviation can be used to achieve the preload objective, thus reducing the fitting number demanded of the circulation system. Consequently, not only the single circulation system fittings can be used, but also the length of the nut is shorter and without extra machining, and the producer only needs to control the deviation of the interval helical track during rubbing to achieve various preload changes.

  • Patent number: 7458722
Abstract: A spacer contains a magnetic filler and is disposed between the magnetic conductive balls. The magnetic filler produces an indirect magnetic attractive force on the balls, therefore, when the interval between the two neighboring balls is overlarge, the spacer will not tip over under the effect of gravity or centrifugal force, but will be adsorbed on the balls by the magnetic filler.

  • Patent number: 7438474
Abstract: A spacer structure for cross rollers comprises a frame and four protruding wings, the protruding wings are arranged in pairs on opposing sides of the frame and outwardly extend therefrom. The two inactive end surfaces of the roller are confined between the paired protruding wings of the spacer. The slenderness ratio of the roller is designed to be 0.7-0.98 for facilitating installation of the roller between the paired protruding wings of the spacer, and such arrangement can effectively reduce the contact area between the spacer and the roller. The paired opposite protruding wings can provide a stable positioning effect to the end surfaces of the roller.

  • Publication number: 20080121056
Abstract: A ball screw device includes a screw shaft threaded with a ball nut which has one or more channels, and one or more end deflectors attached to the ball nut to form an endless ball rolling passage in the ball nut and to receive a number of bearing members which may facilitate a movement of the ball nut relative to the screw shaft. The ball nut further includes one or more slots communicating with each of the channels, and each for receiving a cushioning member which may cushion the bearing members for reducing a noise that may be generated by the bearing members and the ball nut and the screw shaft. The cushioning member may selectively apply a lubricating material to lubricate the bearing members.

  • Publication number: 20080022797
Abstract: A ball crew unit with dual ball deflect arrangements includes a pair of circulation ball deflect units. One of then is equipped axially in a first cavity provided in the nut, while the other is equipped radially in a second cavity provided in the nut. By so, the traditional buck toothed design for the male screw threads of the bolt can be eliminated, and is unnecessary to lengthen the nut in order to avoid mutual interference between the ball deflect unit and the nut flange, the circulation tunnel formed in the nut does not have to run through the whole nut either so that the structure of the ball screw unit can be simplified. As a result the assembly work is facilitated, production cost is reduced while the mechanical property is upgraded.

  • Publication number: 20070295131
Abstract: A ball screw assembly, wherein a helical groove is formed in the outer surface of the screw shaft without extending to both ends thereof, and an escape portion formed in the form of a slot is connected to one end of the helical groove of the screw shaft. The escape portion allows the cassette to abut against an outer periphery of the screw shaft, and the tongue portion is inserted deeply in the escape portion, such that the cassette is allowed to be rotated to effect axial movement relative to the screw shaft, thus finishing assembly of the nut, and the balls can be prevented from dropping out of the ball screw when the nut is disengaged from the screw shaft or when the nut moves out of travel.

  • Publication number: 20070227281
Abstract: A self-lubricating ball screw comprises a nut, a screw shaft, at least one lubricating unit and at least one external oil tank. The lubricating unit is disposed in the nut, an end of the lubricating unit protrudes out of the nut and contacts the screw shaft, and another end of the lubricating unit is connected to the oil tank for absorbing the lubricating oil to the lubricating unit from the oil tank. A quick-release concave is formed in a side of the respective oil tanks, allowing for radial movement of the screw shaft. With the quick-release concave, the oil tank can be replaced at any time. The lubricating unit straddles the wipers and transmits lubricating oil to the protrusion without affecting the original arrangement of the wiper at either end of the nut, thus effectively saving the space of the oil tank, simplifying the structure and improving the maintenance efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20070221003
Abstract: A circulation passage structure for a ball screw, the circulation passage structure is used to connect the helical groove and the circulation hole of the nut, so as to form a circulation path for a plurality of balls and spacers. Due to the spacers move in a manner of being clamped between two balls, the spacer inside the return path will be pushed to move inward. The degree of curvature of the inner guiding surface connected to the inner curve can be moderated by shifting outward the location of the center of the inner curve and increasing its radius of curvature. By such arrangement, the spacer will not contact the inner guiding surface when it is pushed to move inward, and the spacer can pass through the return passage easily without the problem of impacting the return passage.
