  • Publication number: 20240107545
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive, from a network node, control signaling indicating a first downlink bandwidth part (BWP) and a first uplink BWP, or a first downlink sub-band and a first uplink sub-band, or both, for performing sub-band full-duplex (SBFD) communications. The UE may receive, from the network node, a downlink control information (DCI) message indicating to switch to a second downlink BWP and a second uplink BWP, or to switch to a second downlink sub-band and a second uplink sub-band, or both. The UE may then perform full-duplex communications with the network node within the second downlink BWP and the second uplink BWP, or within the second downlink sub-band and the second uplink sub-band, or both.

  • Patent number: 11943031
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may update a capability to a network entity periodically when the complexity, power, or memory needs of the UE change. The UE may additionally update the capability upon being triggered by a network entity, during a time scheduled by the network entity, upon the expiration of a timer, etc. The capabilities may be or include explicit values for beam switching delay, or an index selecting delay values from a table previously configured to the UE, for example. Additionally, The UE and network entity may support communications according to capability values associated with a time delay between a transmitted reference signal with repetition and the UE being ready for a downlink transmission using a beam selected based on the reference signal. This capability may indicate to the network entity to avoid scheduling downlink messages during the delay.

  • Patent number: 11943795
Abstract: Wireless communications systems may support identification or determination of a common default beam for a component carrier (CC) group (e.g., such that all CCs of a CC group may be associated with a same default beam). For example, a CC group may be configured or established to include one or more CCs (e.g., for carrier aggregation), where each CC group may share a same analog beamformer. As such, a beam (e.g., a default uplink/downlink beam) may be established as default or common across CCs of a CC group (e.g., versus default beams being configured or established for individual CCs). Such an established default beam of a CC group (e.g., a default beam common to all CCs of a CC group) may include or refer to a default downlink shared channel beam, a default sounding reference signal (SRS) beam, a default downlink control channel beam, etc.

  • Publication number: 20240097850
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) receives an indication to use a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state for receiving or transmitting a communication, the TCI state indicating non-serving cell information associated with a non-serving cell. The UE receives or transmits the communication based at least in part on the TCI state and a quasi co-location (QCL) chain rule applied for the TCI state that indicates the non-serving cell information. The QCL chain rule may indicate that a synchronization signal block (SSB) of the non-serving cell as a source reference signal provides QCL information for one or more signals of a first cell and that the one or more signals of the first cell as source reference signals provide QCL information for one or more channels or signals of a second cell. Numerous other aspects are provided.
