To achieve this, the present invention provides a remote monitor for a home appliance, the remote monitor being connected to at least one home appliance with a predetermined communication system for displaying, and controlling of a state of the home appliance at a place far from the home appliance, including a case forming an outside appearance of the remote monitor, including a lower case, an upper case detachably mounted on an upper side of the lower case, the upper case having a window, and an outer case detachably mounted on an upper side of the upper case, the outer case having a display window in correspondence to the window, and a control board in the case, the control board having various electronic components mounted thereon.

Abstract: An improved water supply assembly for a washing machine is provided which prevents breakage of a water supply hose due to freezing. The water supply assembly includes a detergent box assembly provided in a cabinet so as to communicate with a tub of the washing machine, and a water supply valve assembly connected to the detergent box assembly by a hose so as to control a flow of water into the washing machine. By positioning the water supply valve assembly higher than the detergent box, the hose extending therebetween is oriented at a downward slant, thus causing any excess water remaining in the hose after the flow of water into the washing machine has been cut off to naturally drain into the detergent box assembly.

Abstract: A washing machine having a transient vibration sensor assembly is provided. The transient vibration sensor assembly senses transient vibration of a tub to prevent the washing machine from severe shaking and subsequent breakdown. The washing machine includes a cabinet, a tub suspended in the cabinet, a drum rotatably provided in the tub, a motor provided in the cabinet to rotate the drum, a sensor assembly in the cabinet to sense a transient vibration of the tub, and a controller to control the motor, and to stop the motor if the sensor assembly senses that the tub is in a transient vibration state.

Abstract: A washing machine is provided which has a structurally reinforced apparatus for accurately sensing a water level. The washing machine includes a housing, a tub installed in the housing, a drum rotatably installed in the tub, and a water level sensing apparatus for sensing a water level in the tub/drum so as to provide an appropriate water level for each washing step. The water level sensing apparatus includes an air chamber installed in communication with the tub. The air chamber stores a predetermined amount such that the water present in the system develops a pressure on the stored air. The water level sensing apparatus also includes a sensor installed at an end of a tube connected to the air chamber which determines a water level by sensing an air pressure in the tube, and a protecting member which prevents disassembly and breakage of the air chamber and the tube during operation of the washing machine.

A friction member inside the internal vessel rubs against laundry. The ventilation apparatus employs a bubble dissipation device for preventing bubbles generated in a tub from reaching a ventilating bellows and being discharged from a cabinet of the washing machine.
