Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for iron preformation in a redox flow battery. In one example, a method may include, in a first condition, discharging and then charging the redox flow battery, and in a second condition, charging the redox flow battery including preforming iron metal at a negative electrode of the redox flow battery, and thereafter entering an idle mode of the redox flow battery including adjusting one or more electrolyte conditions. In some examples, each of preforming the iron metal and adjusting the one or more electrolyte conditions may increase a battery charge capacity to greater than a threshold battery charge capacity.

Abstract: A method for a redox flow battery may include, interrupting cycling of the redox flow battery, including charging the redox flow battery to a threshold charge condition, draining positive and negative electrolyte from the redox flow battery, circulating a wash solution through the redox flow battery, and returning the positive and negative electrolyte to the redox flow battery, and resuming cycling of the redox flow battery. In this way, contamination of the redox flow battery system can be reduced, thereby prolonging the life and increasing performance of the redox flow battery system.

Abstract: A play control method includes obtaining a playing state of at least one of a plurality of terminals playing a same video; and controlling a playing progress of at least one of the plurality of terminals when the playing state meets a preset condition. Using the disclosed play control method and apparatus for a plurality of terminals playing a same video, playing synchronization of the plurality of terminals can be maintained under a premise of ensuring that the plurality of terminals do not miss each video segment, so that no communication barrier is resulted due to asynchronous video playing during interactions between users who watch the same video, thus being able to improve user experience.

Abstract: Provided are a method, system and program for requesting storage performance models for a configuration pattern of storage resources to deploy at a client computing environment. A determination is made of a new configuration pattern of storage resources to deploy. A request is sent to a service provider with information on the new configuration pattern. A result set is received from the service provider having at least one provided configuration pattern having a degree of similarity to the new configuration pattern and a storage performance model for each of the provided configuration patterns. Each of the storage performance models indicate workload and performance characteristics for one of the provided configuration patterns. One of the provided configuration patterns is selected from the result set and the storage performance model for the selected configuration pattern is used to model performance at the client.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the technical field of wireless communications, and in particular, to a beam training method and device, for use in resolving the problems in the prior art of excessive time-consuming of a beam training process, large overhead of training signals, and relatively low efficiency. According to embodiments of the present invention, a transmit device sends beam training signals in two times. The first sending of a transmit beam training signal is for a receive device to select a transmit beam using a selected receive beam and report the transmit beam. The second sending is that the transmit device sends a receive beam training signal according to the transmit beam information report of the receive device, so as to train the received beam of the receive device.

In one aspect, a method includes training an image embedding function on image triplets by selecting image triplets of first, second and third images; generating, by the image embedding function, a first, second and third representations of the features of the first, second and third images; determining, based on the first representation of features and the second representation of features, a first similarity measure for the first image to the second image; determining, based on the first representation of features and the third representation of features, a second similarity measure for the the first image to the third image; determining, based on the first and second similarity measures, a performance measure of the image embedding function for the image triplet; and adjusting the parameter weights of the image embedding function based on the performance measures for the image triplets.

At least one storage performance model is created based on the determined storage performance metrics. Information on the at least one storage performance model and the configuration pattern of the storage resources for which the storage performance metrics were determined are published to the service provider.

Abstract: Disclosed are a carbonic anhydrase mutant having heat resistance at a high temperature of 80° C. as well as excellent activity to capture carbon dioxide and a composition for capturing carbon dioxide containing the same. The heat-resistant carbonic anhydrase mutant can be applied to a high-temperature carbon dioxide capture process due to high stability at high temperatures and a high carbon dioxide hydration rate.

Abstract: A method of rebalancing electrolytes in a redox flow battery system comprises directing hydrogen gas generated on the negative side of the redox flow battery system to a catalyst surface, and fluidly contacting the hydrogen gas with an electrolyte comprising a metal ion at the catalyst surface, wherein the metal ion is chemically reduced by the hydrogen gas at the catalyst surface, and a state of charge of the electrolyte and pH of the electrolyte remain substantially balanced.

The method comprises: a sending end sending at least one synchronization signal (SI), with the SI carrying a first identifier; and at a time-frequency location of system information corresponding to the SI, sending the system information, the system information carrying information for indicating a second identifier, and identification information about the sending end comprising the first identifier and the second identifier. According to a mapping relationship between an SI and a first identifier, a receiving end can obtain the first identifier after detecting the SI; and by means of carrying information for indicating a second identifier in system information, the receiving end can obtain the second identifier after detecting the system information, so that the receiving end can obtain all the identification information about the sending end according to the first identifier and the second identifier.
