  • Patent number: 9179488
Abstract: A method of re-establishing a cellular connection between a vehicle telematics unit and a wireless carrier system includes detecting a loss of cellular connection between a vehicle telematics unit and a wireless carrier system; accessing a technology order table (TOT) that orders a plurality of radio access technologies (RATs) capable of use at the vehicle telematics unit according to desirability; attempting to re-establish the cellular connection by: determining the RAT used by the vehicle telematics unit when the loss of cellular connection was detected; searching the TOT to locate a less desirable RAT relative to the RAT used by the vehicle telematics unit when the loss of cellular connection was detected; attempting to connect with the wireless carrier system using the less desirable RAT and a group of PLMNs that is limited to home and home-equivalent PLMNs; and if that attempt fails, attempting to connect with the wireless carrier system by iterating through each of the RATs ordered in the TOT beginning

  • Publication number: 20150286048
Abstract: Disclosed herein are a Lissajous dual-axial scan component and a scan frequency generation method thereof. The Lissajous dual-axial scan component scans at a fast-axial resonant frequency and a slow-axial resonant frequency. A fast-axial bias frequency and a slow-axial bias frequency are determined according to the fast-axial resonant frequency and the slow-axial resonant frequency. Fast-axial positive integers and slow-axial positive integers are determined according to a system frequency, the fast-axial bias frequency, and the slow-axial bias frequency. An irreducible fraction is determined according to the fast-axial positive integers and the slow-axial positive integers as a ratio of the fast-axial bias frequency to the slow-axial bias frequency less than 10. A scan trace repetition frequency greater than 24 Hz is determined according to the irreducible fraction in order that the Lissajous dual-axial scan component scans according to the scan trace repetition frequency.

  • Patent number: 9071015
Abstract: An electrical connector having a squib connector and a squib assembly for mating by moving them together in a mating direction. A retaining means is provided for retaining the squib connector and squib assembly in a fully mated condition. A spring, acting in a direction opposite the mating direction, provides a resisting force to oppose mating. During the application of a mating force to overcome the resisting force of the spring and move the squib connector and squib assembly in the mating direction, and prior to the squib connector and squib assembly reaching the fully mated condition, removal of the resisting force of the spring is triggered and the mating force is instantly applied to moving the squib connector and squib assembly to the fully mated condition, whereat the retaining means is activated. The spring is molded to have features that assure dependable operation of the connector.

  • Patent number: 8728915
Abstract: A wafer laser-marking method is provided. First, a wafer having a first surface (an active surface) and a second surface (a back surface) opposite to each other is provided. Next, the wafer is thinned. Then, the thinned wafer is fixed on a non-UV tape such that the second surface of the wafer is attached to the tape. Finally, the laser marking step is performed, such that a laser light penetrates the non-UV tape and marks a pattern on the second surface of the wafer. According to the laser-marking method of the embodiment, the pattern is formed by the non-UV residuals left on the second surface of the wafer, and the components of the glue residuals at least include elements of silicon and carbon.

  • Patent number: 8670170
Abstract: An optical scanning projection system includes a scanning light source component, a second reflecting element, a transparent element, a scanning element, a photosensitive element and a control module. The transparent element receives a main light beam emitted by the scanning light source component and reflects a part of the main light beam to be a reflected light. The reflected light is reflected by the second reflecting element, and the scanning element reflects the reflected light from the second reflecting element in a scanning manner. The photosensitive element receives the reflected light from the scanning element and outputs a sensing signal, and the control module actuates or stops actuating the scanning light source component according to the sensing signal. Therefore, when the scanning element is damaged, the control module may instantly stop actuating the scanning light source component, thereby enhancing the using safety of the optical scanning projection system.

  • Patent number: 8544616
Abstract: A brake disk for bicycles has an inner disk, two outer disks and multiple brake units. The brake units, rather than the outer disks, are used to rub with the disk brake pads. As each brake unit is a small lump, the brake units can be easily made of material with high abrasion resistance, high temperature resistance, and low heat conduction, and the brake units still can sustain sufficient strength. With those features of material, the brake disk for bicycles does not deform easily by the heat, and the glue between the outer disks and the inner disk does not melt easily by the heat from the outer disks. Because each brake unit, which is used to rub, is independent from the outer disks, the outer disks can be made of light material, and the whole weight reduces as well.
