    Abstract: There is provided a sprinkler head having a structure in which steps such as removing and reattaching a protecting cap are eliminated at the time of construction of the sprinkler head, where a cylindrical member is installed on an outer portion of a sprinkler head body and the protecting cap is installed between the sprinkler head body and the cylindrical member. A cylindrical member and a sprinkler head body are installed by being engaged so as to be rotatable together, a protecting cap configured to protect the sprinkler head body from an external force is locked to the cylindrical member. The protecting cap is provided with a space in which a tightening tool for connecting a sprinkler head to a water supply pipe is capable of locking to a tightening tool engaging portion.

    Abstract: A sprinkler head A has a main body including a pipe connection portion and a frame portion. In the frame portion, an outer circumferential surface protruding to the outside of the pipe connection portion is provided, and beam-like portions (inward flanges) with which a lever of a thermo-sensitive breakup portion engages and openings obtained by cutting off the outer circumferential surface from the side of the pipe connection portion to the beam-like portion are provided at opposite positions in the outer circumferential surface. Thereby, the weight of the frame portion can be largely reduced. Therefore, the weight of a sprinkler head is reduced, so that the weight load applied to the fire extinguishing system pipes in which a large number of sprinkler heads are installed can be reduced, and the work burden due to the weight load when the sprinkler heads are conveyed and installed in the fire extinguishing system pipes can also be reduced.

    Abstract: A valve mechanism which opens in response to a high temperature includes a stopper positionable at a closed position that blocks the flow of water in a cylindrical body attached to a water supply pipe. A stopper support permits the stopper to be movable from the closed position to an open position, wherein pressure of the water in the supply pipe tends to move the stopper from the closed position to the open position. A locking unit is positionable to lock the support in a position wherein the stopper blocks the channel, and has an inclined surface inclined obliquely to the water flow direction. A heat sensitive section blocks movement of the locking unit from the locking position and includes a heat sensitive portion responsive to the temperature of an environment of the valve mechanism.

    Abstract: Provided is a valve mechanism which has a simple configuration, being available for a type having a large bore diameter, and being able to be opened in response to extremely high temperature to supply fire-fighting water or cooling water. There is provided a valve mechanism opened in response to extremely high temperature, the valve mechanism including: a cylindrical body that is attached to an end of a supply pipe connected to a water source; a stopper that blocks a channel inside the body; a support that is disposed inside the body and that supports the stopper by pressing the stopper to a side of the supply pipe; a locking unit that serves to lock the support in a normal state and that unlocks the support in the case of extremely high temperature; and a heat sensitive section that releases the locking unit in the case where temperature of environment is increased to an extremely high level.
