  • Patent number: 7543654
Abstract: A sprinkler head cover including a housing adapted to be attached to a sprinkler head which is connected to a water supply piping and in which, in the case of fire, a valve disposed inside the sprinkler head is opened to allow a fire-extinguishing liquid in the water supply piping to be dispersed. A cover plate is adapted to cover the sprinkler head so that the sprinkler head cannot be seen from outside, and a mount is installed in the housing and has a hole inside thereof. The cover plate and the mount are connected to each other by a low melting point alloy melted out from the hole, and a heat collector of the sprinkler head has a structure for allowing the heat collector to come into contact with the cover plate.

  • Publication number: 20080115948
Abstract: [Problems] To provide a sprinkler head installed by burying it in a ceiling, having a cover plate to conceal the sprinkler head, enabling the adjustment of the height of the sprinkler head relative to the surface of the ceiling, and capable of efficiently transferring the heat of flame absorbed by the cover plate to the heat sensitive body of the sprinkler head. [Means for Solving Problems] A heat collector (15) having a plurality of fins (14) in the radial direction is fitted to the heat sensitive body of the sprinkler head, and the fins (14) are bent in a diagonal lower side by a plurality of bent parts (16). A disk-like heat collector (13) is stackingly installed on the upper part of the heat collector (15), and ribs (13A) and (13B) formed on the heat collector (13) are installed at positions where the bent parts (16) are not interfered with the ribs (13A) and (13B) when the heat collector (15) is contracted.

  • Patent number: 6840329
Abstract: A concealed sprinkler head is mounted above the ceiling of a fire protected zone. The sprinkler head includes a housing within which a valve and other operative parts are contained. A decorative cover plate is secured to the housing to conceal the sprinkler head within the ceiling so that none of the operative parts is visible. The cover assembly includes a thin metallic cover plate made of a heat conductive material such as copper, and a metallic skirt including a cylindrical wall threaded on the housing, an annular flange extending outwardly from one end of the cylindrical wall, and a plurality of tabs extending downwardly from the flange. A plurality of heat insulative elements are disposed between the tabs and the cover plate. A metallic layer is attached to the lower surface of each of the insulative elements. A layer of fusible material is disposed between the metallic layer and the cover plate to secure each of the insulative elements to the cover plate through the metallic layer.
