The program causes a computer to execute: (a) extracting, from a plurality of log messages that are output from an information system having a plurality of configuration items and that are output in a predetermined period of time, configuration items that output the log messages; (b) calculating a degree of relationship between the configuration items extracted in the (a) extracting; (c) executing learning of the rate of the number of occurrences of troubles in the information system in the number of times the log messages are output, the learning is executed by a number of times corresponding to the degree of relationship calculated in the (b) calculating; and (d) creating, in accordance with a result of the learning in the (c) executing, a trouble pattern message that is output when a trouble occurs.

Abstract: A management system for managing a plurality of computers and a plurality of pieces of software in a computer center includes: a selection data storage part for storing data regarding allocation destination selection, the data including at least either one of operation data and temperature data, wherein the operation data represent states of execution of the pieces of software by the computers, respectively, and temperature data represent temperature distribution in the computers; an instruction generation part for extracting an overheated computer that is assumed to emit more heat as compared with the other computers, and a less-heated computer that is assumed to emit less heat as compared with the other computers, by using the data regarding allocation destination selection, and generating an instruction for relocating at least a part of a piece of software allocated to the overheated computer to the less-heated computer; and an instruction part for outputting the instruction.

Abstract: A failure prediction device generates a failure predictor pattern in accordance with previous cases of failure that has occurred in a first system, the failure predictor pattern being used to detect a predictor of failure in the first system configuration. When a system configuration is changed from the first system configuration to a second system configuration, the failure prediction device calculates the difference information that indicates the difference between the system configurations by using the number of changes that is the accumulated number of times that a change of the configuration item which is included in a system is executed. The failure prediction device determines, in accordance with the calculated difference information, whether the failure predictor pattern is applicable to the detection of a predictor of failure in the second system configuration.

Abstract: When a problem occurs in a computer system, the following processing is performed. That is, a troubleshooting procedure that includes, at least, operation content and input request for system information, presented to an operator, and in which command to acquire system information related to the input request from the information source of the system information are assigned to the input request, is referenced. Furthermore, in accordance with the command, system information is collected from an information source where system information exists. Then, after those input request for system information have been removed from the troubleshooting procedure, the resultant troubleshooting procedure is presented to the operator. Thus, the workload of the operator in the troubleshooting operation can be significantly reduced, and the time until the operation is completed is shortened, making rapid troubleshooting possible.

Abstract: When searching for a starting point candidate on an abnormality occurred in a first management range, if a search destination extends over a second management range, a first search device transmits a query to a second search device and requests a second search device to search for a starting point of an abnormality in the second management range. The second search device receives the query, searches the second management range for a starting point candidate of an abnormality, replaces a starting point candidate of an abnormality with a dummy configuration item, and transmits a response. Thus, the first search device can search for a starting point candidate of an abnormality without grasping a connection relationship of configuration items in the second management range.

Abstract: There is provided an apparatus and method for executing live-migrations concurrently on a plurality of virtual machines. Resource-usage state information is acquired from each of the plurality of virtual machines when a first live migration of a first virtual machine is started. A correlation factor indicating a degree of correlation between first resource-usage state information for the first virtual machine and second resource-usage state information for each of one or more virtual machines other than the first virtual machine is calculated using the acquired resource-usage state information. Next, a second virtual machine having a positive correlation factor with respect to the first virtual machine is selected from the one or more virtual machines where the positive correlation factor indicating a close similarity between the first and second resource-usage state information. Then, a second live-migration is executed on the second virtual machine in parallel with the ongoing first live migration.

Abstract: There is provided an apparatus and method for executing live-migrations concurrently on a plurality of virtual machines. Resource-usage state information is acquired from each of the plurality of virtual machines when a first live migration of a first virtual machine is started.
