    Abstract: A computer readable, non-transitory medium has stored therein a trouble pattern creating program. The program causes a computer to execute: (a) extracting, from a plurality of log messages that are output from an information system having a plurality of configuration items and that are output in a predetermined period of time, configuration items that output the log messages; (b) calculating a degree of relationship between the configuration items extracted in the (a) extracting; (c) executing learning of the rate of the number of occurrences of troubles in the information system in the number of times the log messages are output, the learning is executed by a number of times corresponding to the degree of relationship calculated in the (b) calculating; and (d) creating, in accordance with a result of the learning in the (c) executing, a trouble pattern message that is output when a trouble occurs.

    Abstract: A failure prediction device generates a failure predictor pattern in accordance with previous cases of failure that has occurred in a first system, the failure predictor pattern being used to detect a predictor of failure in the first system configuration. When a system configuration is changed from the first system configuration to a second system configuration, the failure prediction device calculates the difference information that indicates the difference between the system configurations by using the number of changes that is the accumulated number of times that a change of the configuration item which is included in a system is executed. The failure prediction device determines, in accordance with the calculated difference information, whether the failure predictor pattern is applicable to the detection of a predictor of failure in the second system configuration.

    Abstract: There is provided an apparatus and method for executing live-migrations concurrently on a plurality of virtual machines. Resource-usage state information is acquired from each of the plurality of virtual machines when a first live migration of a first virtual machine is started. A correlation factor indicating a degree of correlation between first resource-usage state information for the first virtual machine and second resource-usage state information for each of one or more virtual machines other than the first virtual machine is calculated using the acquired resource-usage state information. Next, a second virtual machine having a positive correlation factor with respect to the first virtual machine is selected from the one or more virtual machines where the positive correlation factor indicating a close similarity between the first and second resource-usage state information. Then, a second live-migration is executed on the second virtual machine in parallel with the ongoing first live migration.
