  • Patent number: 9888133
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image reading section, a storage section, a communication section, an acceptance section, and an operation control section. The storage section has a plurality of storage regions at least one or more of which are signage-specific storage regions associated one-to-one with one or more digital signage devices. Each of the signage-specific storage region stores: a plurality of pieces of image data generated by the image reading section having read a number of documents; and setting data indicating a display setting of how the relevant digital signage device displays the pieces of image data. When the acceptance section accepts a delivery instruction, the operation control section allows the communication section to send the pieces of image data and the setting data both stored in the signage-specific storage region associated with the relevant digital signage device designated in the delivery instruction to the relevant digital signage device.

  • Patent number: 8332958
Abstract: A Multi-Function peripheral (MFP), a server apparatus, and a client apparatus for generating image output data from document data and transmitting the image output data to the server apparatus are each connected to a network. In the server apparatus, an output data management unit stores the received image output data in an output data storage unit. Upon receiving user authentication information that is input with a user operation on the MFP, the server apparatus determines whether the user authentication information is valid. When the user authentication information is determined to be valid, the server apparatus transmits to the MFP one or more among the stored image output data associated with the user authentication information.

  • Patent number: 8068248
Abstract: An information notification device 1 includes a memory unit 3, a request reception unit 42, and a communication unit 2. The memory unit 3 stores first equipment information indicating the internal state of a printer engine 113. When the image forming apparatus 101 is in sleep mode, the request reception unit 42 receives requests for second equipment information indicating the current state of the image forming apparatus 101. When the second equipment information is low rate of change with time first attribute information, the communication unit 2 transmits the first equipment information to the requesting source. When the second equipment information is second attribute information, whose rate of change with time is higher than first attribute information, the power supply 114 supplies power to the engine 113, the communication unit 2 obtains the second equipment information from the engine 113 and transmits it to the requesting source.
