  • Patent number: 6961149
Abstract: In a color reproduction device, an input profile that is referenced in converting an input image from an image input device into a device-independent color image is created based on image input device information, shooting- and observation-time lighting data, and subject data, allowing accurate conversion of the input image to the device-independent color image. In reproducing the image by an image output device, the spectral reflectance of the subject itself is calculated from image input device information and shooting-time lighting data, thereby reducing the effect of the shooting-time lighting. The colors of the subject under observation lighting are calculated from observation-time lighting data. A color reproduced image is estimated accurately on the basis of the subject data even if the input image has little information.

  • Publication number: 20040245435
Abstract: An image detection processor arranges a plurality of image detection processing elements 1-1 to 1-64 on a plane. Each image detection-processing element includes an adder circuit 15 that converts an output of a photoelectric conversion part 5 into digital signals and can receive the digital signals as an input in a matrix form. Connecting the adder circuit 15 for respective rows constitutes cumulative adders. Series adders 2-1 to 2-8 which are connected in series respectively receive outputs of final stages of cumulative adders of respective rows as input and can cumulatively add these outputs. The digital signals are selectively inputted to the cumulative adders using a row decoder 3 and a column decoder 4 and processed data of an image detected by photoelectric conversion parts 5 of a plurality of image detection processing elements are outputted from the series adder 2-8. Processed data from the series adder 2-8 are inputted to an edge coordinate detection means 70 or a status judgment means.

  • Patent number: 6744931
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an image processing apparatus, in which an object image focused by a lens is split into a plurality of images by means of a light splitting section. These images are converted into image data items by a plurality of imaging devices which are arranged with their imaging area overlapping in part. The image data items are stored temporarily in an image storing section. A displacement detecting section detects displacement coefficients (rotation angle R and parallel displacement S) from the image signals representing the mutual overlap region of two images which are to be combined and which are represented by two image data items read from the image storing section. The position of any specified pixel of the image displayed is identified by the pixel signal generated by the corresponding pixel of any imaging device.

  • Patent number: 6707579
Abstract: An image formation apparatus is equipped with a recording head having a plurality of recording elements for forming an image on a recording medium. A binarized image data storage unit stores binarized image data for on-off control of the recording elements of the recording head. A correction data storage unit stores density irregularity correction data for correcting irregularities in density which occur when the recording elements of the recording head are respectively driven to form the image for each of the recording elements. A density irregularity correction unit corrects, prior to the image formation, the binarized image data stored in the binarized image data storage unit on the basis of the density irregularity correction data stored in the correction data storage unit.
