    Abstract: A belt tension adjusting device composed to ease positive detection of plastic elongation of belt is proposed. The time for the belt to be replaced by new one can be recognized in early stages and accurately. The plastic elongation of the belt can be detected visually from the front or upper side of an engine without unsighted by the auto-tensioner (automatic belt tension adjuster) and the belt. Further, workability of replacing belt is improved.
