  • Publication number: 20110113766
Abstract: An exhaust gas post-treatment system for a vehicle is provided, which in the course of regeneration ascertains whether or not there is any object approaching a body of the vehicle from behind. A filter is arranged in an exhaust passage of an engine to trap PM therein. A trapped and deposited PM amount sensing device senses a deposited amount of PM deposited in the filter. A fuel injector burns and removes PM deposited in the filter to conduct regeneration of the filter. A rearward monitoring camera monitors a scene rearward of a vehicle body. A display module displays monitoring information from the rearward monitoring camera, and a controller having a regeneration processing unit executes control processing to actuate the fuel injector and to perform regeneration.

  • Publication number: 20110000199
Abstract: An upstream cylinder (21) and a downstream cylinder (24) are fixedly mounted to a support member (19), and a filter cylinder (26) is provided mountably and dismountably between the cylinders (21) and (24). In consequence, only the filter cylinder (26) can be dismounted with the cylinders (21) and (24) left as they are on the support member (19), so that the maintenance operation of a particulate matter removing filter (28) can be performed easily. In addition, pressure conduits (32) and (33) and a pressure sensor (34) of a pressure detection unit (31) for detecting a clogged state of the particulate matter removing filter (28) are disposed at positions offset from a moving path (30) of the filter cylinder (26). In consequence, only the filter cylinder (26) can be easily mounted or dismounted without being obstructed by the pressure conduits (32) and (33) and the pressure sensor (34).

  • Publication number: 20100319321
Abstract: An engine powered machine is provided with an economical exhaust gas purification system capable of avoiding overheating. The engine powered machine is provided with an exhaust gas purification system that injects a reducing agent into an exhaust pipe of an engine by a reducing agent feeder to detoxify nitrogen oxides in exhaust gases. A cooling fan, the driving or stopping of which is controlled by a controller, is arranged as a cooling device for a reducing agent tank in which the reducing agent to be injected by the reducing agent feeder is stored. When a detected temperature signal output from a reducing agent temperature detector has become higher than a cooling initiation temperature stored in a storage unit, the controller drives the cooling fan to initiate cooling of the reducing agent tank.

  • Publication number: 20100122522
Abstract: An exhaust gas purification system for an engineering machine is capable of avoiding decreases in working efficiency during regeneration control by burning off a deposit of particulate matter from a filter efficiently during a work pause time. An operating section 17 of a display monitor 16 is used to set a work pause time and a work pause switch 13 notifies a vehicle body control unit 21 that the hydraulic excavator has entered a work pause state. In response, the vehicle body control unit 21 calculates the time required for a regenerating device to burn off the current amount of particulate matter deposited on the filter, and when the calculated time is longer than the preset work pause time, a regeneration controller 4a of an engine control unit 4 is activated, and a solenoid control valve 15 is switched to a closed position during the preset work pause time.

  • Publication number: 20100038162
Abstract: A ureal water tank (28), a storage of an aqueous urea solution, is located within a utility room (6G) in a right front section of a revolving frame (6), which is readily accessible from outside. In this instance, among a plurality of operating oil conduits (18), a working mechanism operating conduit (21) which supplies operating oil to a boom cylinder (5D) of a working mechanism (5) is arranged to run along exterior surfaces of the ureal water tank (28). Therefore, even if the ureal water tank (28) is located in a place with no heat source, the aqueous urea solution in the ureal water tank (28) can be stably kept in a heated state by utilization of heat of operating oil in circulation through the working mechanism operating conduit (21).

  • Patent number: 7255088
Abstract: An engine control system includes pressure sensors (73, 74), position sensors (75, 76), pressure sensors (77, 78), a target revolution speed modification value computing unit (90), and a modification value adder (70r). A target revolution speed NR2 for use in control is computed based on changes of status variables such that the target revolution speed NR2 increases from the target revolution speed NR1 applied from an input unit (71), and then moderately returns to the target revolution speed NR1. In accordance with the computed target revolution speed NR2 for use in control, a target fuel injection amount FN1 is computed and a fuel injection amount is controlled. As a result, a drop of an engine revolution speed attributable to an abrupt increase of an engine load can be suppressed without sacrificing the work efficiency, and lowering of durability caused by an excessive increase of the engine revolution speed can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20050160727
Abstract: A current load rate of an engine 10 is computed and a maximum absorption torque of at least one hydraulic pump 1, 2 is controlled so that the load rate is held at a target value. Engine stalling can be prevented by decreasing the maximum absorption torque of the hydraulic pump under a high-load condition. When an engine output lowers due to environmental changes, the use of poor fuel or other reasons, the maximum absorption torque of the hydraulic pump can be decreased without a lowering of the engine revolution speed. Further, the present invention is adaptable for any kinds of factors causing a lowering of the engine output, such as those factors that cannot be predicted in advance or are difficult to detect by sensors. In addition, because of no necessity of sensors, such as environment sensors, the manufacturing cost can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6216551
Abstract: An improved transfer lever for a 4WD vehicle is arranged such that the position of a knob attachment piece remains the same even when used with transmissions of two different lengths. The difference between the two lengths is a distance D. This retains the knob attachment piece in an optimal shift position can be attained. The transfer lever is bent, proximate its base, at an angle that places the knob attachment piece a distance D/2 from a centerline of its base. The transfer lever is installable in two orientations 180 degrees apart. When the longer transmission is used, the transfer lever is installed to position the knob attachment piece D/2 forward of the centerline, and when the shorter transmission is used, the transfer lever is installed to position the knob attachment piece D/2 rearward of the centerline, whereby the knob attachment piece is positioned in the same fore and aft location regardless of which transmission is used.

  • Patent number: 5865934
Abstract: There is provided a method for arranging conductive bumps at predetermined positions penetrated through an insulating layer during a press integration stage to ensure electrical and thermal conductivities between a wiring pattern and a conductive metal as well as electrical connections between the wiring patterns. More specifically, the sharp tip of the conductive bump is subjected to plastic deformation to form the interconnections between the wiring patterns or between the wiring pattern and the conductive metal. Also provided is a method of manufacturing a printed wiring board. A synthetic resin sheet is sandwiched by the surface on which conductive bumps are formed into a laminate. The laminate is heated until the resin component of the synthetic resin sheet being is in a plastic state or up to a temperature not lower than the grass transition temperature of that resin. At that time, the conductive bumps are forced against the synthetic resin sheet and are penetrated therethrough.

  • Patent number: 5822850
Abstract: A supporting member or first synthetic resin sheet with conductive bumps disposed at predetermined positions are superposed on a second synthetic resin sheet under the condition that the resin component of the second synthetic resin sheet is plastic deformed or the temperature thereof exceeds a glass transition temperature so that the conductive bumps are pierced into the second synthetic resin sheet. In other words, the conductive bumps are pierced vertically into the second synthetic resin sheet so as to form through-type conducive lead portions exposed to the first (supporting substrate) and second synthetic resin sheets. The through-type conductive lead portions are used to electrically connect electric devices and circuit and to connect wiring pattern layers. The conductive bumps can be precisely and densely formed and disposed by printing method or plating method. The conductive bumps can be pushed and pierced into the second synthetic resin sheet.
